Not loosing weight despite serious calories reduction

When I started out, I needed to loose about 12-13 lbs. I know that doesn't sound like much but that is what makes it all the more difficult. 

Of course the first 3 lbs came right off in barely a week or so, the rest has been a true struggle.

This past week, I have been exercising daily if not even twice a day, eating around 1000 calories (so a defiicit of 750-1000 calories per day!), no alcohol, drink an average of 100 fl oz of water per day, and I got the scale this morning to only see 1.2lbs gone.  WTF!  The week before, when I had my period and with an average of 800 calorie deficit per day, I didn't loose anything!!   This is totally depressing. 

 

I don't see how I can eat even less and still be functional.  Thoughts?

 

(I'm now 139lbs, 5'6, 45 y/o and aiming for 132lbs).

I don’t know why Fitbit alerted me to this again years later.  That being said - your info is so wrong that is defies any metabolic logic whatsoever.  Hormones alone are one of a plethora of components that regulate fat loss and gain. Fat loss is In no way being replaced by water. Please consult a physician. You are parroting illogical and nonsensical ideas. Further there is no such thing as healthy but fat. Visceral fat negates that idea. The body can more than run on less than 1000 calories a day especially if sedentary. Do some research. I guarantee you if you open your mind and look you’ll find information. Further dandelion root has been linked to kidney problems and organ damage. Good job recommending injurious practices all around.

If it makes you feel better, I'm 23 y/o, 5'5 and was 153.2 lbs. Now I'm 152.6 and it took me three weeks of a 500 cal deficit and working out 30 mins 5x a week to lose that 0.6 of a lb

Starvation mode has been debunked. Enough experiments have been conducted to prove our bodies do not do what you are claiming it does. Maybe skows the metabolism at most 15% but we don't magically hold onto our weight.

Right?! Starvation mode has been debunked in a sense. Enough experiments have been conducted to prove our bodies do not do what people who believe in it are claiming it does. Maybe skllows the metabolism at most 15% but we don't magically hold onto our weight.
