I am pretty new here. My friend got me this fitbit, because she knew I was distressed over weight I gained after treatment for cancer. I am trying to lose about 30 lbs, because none of my nice clothes fit! And it just doesn't look right on me, all in the middle and up top. My head is too small to weigh that much! Wow, some of you peeps here have done really well! I only hit 10,000 once, and it was like a party on my wrist! It almost killed me though, the next day i could hardly do anything. So, I really need to learn how to pace myself, where before I never even had to thnk about things like this. I am cutting carbs, but I am addicted to these gummy mango candies. Sigh...

Hi! I just recieved my Fitbit Zip and hooked up today. Looking around here and found this community. I am 51 and need to lose quite a bit (68lbs). Fighting against a Thyroid problem but optimistic.

Hey everyone!
I also have 60+ pounds to lose. I'm 23 (soon to be 24) and in grad school in Atlanta. I've been working at it since about October and so far I'm only down ~10 pounds...but I've had a lot of fluctuation within that time frame - let's just say I gained all of it back over Christmas and managed to drop it again, thankfully.
With the new year, I'm really trying to stay on track with eating better and eating out less while exercising more to have the weigh come off naturally. I've had my fitbit for a while, but just starting to use it again now.
I'd love to be added so that we can support each other - and if anyone is in the Atlanta area I'd love a spring fitness buddy!

Hello,
I am new to this as well. Just started last week and hit my first 10,000 steps on Saturday. Tracking my steps and striving to hit more than the day before is quite motivating. I'm still learning the operational side of the dashboard and trying to remember to log everything but other than that, so far... so good. Would love to be a part of a support team so feel free to add me - until i can figure out how to do the same 🙂

Hi - I've had my flex since November and it's awesome! I'm interested in being supported through my journey, and want to be there for anyone else who needs encouragement...the first step is always the hardest, admitting that sometimes you can't do it by yourself! One step at a time...

I'm in the 80 pound boat as well. Not new to Fitbit, but I do have a new Charge HR. I'm easing my way back into the gym and ready to get this weight off!

@Bedazzle i think the hardest thing is keeping it up, even though you don't see any immediate results.
