It really is.  This 3-yr/old thread in particular has been a source of inspiration to me.  Lot of great stories in the old posts.  I'm not sure if the OP @Move.It.Move.It is still around, but I love her mantra on the first post: "Slow and steady wins the race."

Good Morning Everyone!

My second week into revamping my wellness routine. I've been logging my food and water intake, which has been revealing and increasing exercise. I've lost 2.4 lbs this week as a result, which is encouraging. I still see areas for improvement but know incremental changes will be more long-lasting.

Starting Weight: 177 lbs.

Current Weight: 174.6 lbs.

Loss This Week: 2.4 lbs.

Goal Weight: 140 lbs.

Have a great week!

Forgot to update the last couple of weeks, got a little busy with all of the holiday activities. About half way through my maintenance phase. Just been holding steady, which I guess is what I want. Ready to get going on the weight loss again next month. Hopefully by Spring time I will be down around 200.

Happy New Year! Did I mention, I’m the queen of turtles? I’m surprised to have lost even a tiny amount over the holidays, when all was said and done. Actually, my weight was up and down quite a bit from day to day, but I’m posting only once a week, usually on Saturdays at a WW meeting. (I was a coward and skipped weighing in on the 29th.)

Back on track now!

Agreed on the motivation piece. Scott, I would have assumed you were the OP, as active as you are on here. Thanks for your part in keeping things going. I don't always post a lot but do enjoy seeing what is working for folks.

Down a pound for the week.  I'm doing a mostly dry January.  Mostly, because I was still on my "workcation" January 1-3, and drank on those days.  But nothing for the past 10 days and it seems to help while I'm trying to lose a few pounds.

I was shooting for a mostly dry January too. As it turns out, I'm kinda soaking wet 🙂

Trendweight's projected 'date' for reaching my goal of 60 kg keeps getting pushed back. Beginning of hte year it was mid-March. Now it's mid-September. But then, the weight is ever-so-slightly creeping up (from 63.2 to 63.8). I wonder if a having 'blue' month would make any difference...?

Good Evening Everyone -

Starting my third week today. I continue to log my food and water intake and lost .6 lbs this week. This makes sense as several big projects were due and I did not get to the gym or outside as much as I hoped. This life/work balance is so tricky.

Onward!

Starting Weight: 177 lbs.

Current Weight: 174 lbs.

Loss This Week:  .6 lbs.

Goal Weight: 140 lbs.

Until next week.....

Dropped about a half a pound this week. Still in maintenance, but I have been eating more routinely since the holidays which may be causing the weight loss. Also doing a dry January, which I'm sure is also contributing. I can't believe it has been year since getting a Fitbit and starting this. Feeling great!

Managed to stay dry for another week :-).  There will be a break in the dry streak next Sunday as we go to a friends church sponsored wine tasting fundraiser  the last week in January every year to stock up on our supplies.

Good Evening Everyone -

Starting my fourth week today. I lost 3.2 lbs this week. I hope my scale is OK as this seems a bit too much in one week but I've learned that weight loss can be a mysterious thing at times. Since January 1, I've lost 6.2 pounds, which seems reasonable considering how I'm monitoring my food and increasing my activity.

I also learned that I have a bone spur on my heel and possibly a stress fracture. I will know more but any recommendations that folks have to keep up their physical activity would be great. I'm not a swimmer but perhaps I can incorporate cycling into my routine. I love to walk and hike, though, so this news is a bit of a bummer.

Starting Weight: 177 lbs.

Weight Last Week: 174 lbs.

Weight This Week: 170.8 lbs

Loss This Week:  3.2 lbs.

Total Loss So Far: 6.2 lbs

Goal Weight: 140 lbs.

I'm enjoying this process.

Until next week.....
