Hi! I'm looking for some friends for motivation and support. I'm 51, female, and working on losing 30 lbs. My A1c is pre-diabetic so I'm shedding some weight to try and get it under control.
Anyone?

It was a strange day.
After a weekend of traveling I think I collapsed of exhaustion! I felt very unwell though nothing I could actually put my finger on.
I hope to get a good night sleep and get back on track tomorrow. I barely ate at all. In fact I probably should have something before bed.
I did lose a pound and a half this week.
Cheers

Good morning.
I am finally able to go to leave the house. I have been stuck with no car but from now on I will have wheels. I live too far from the gym to walk in this weather plus the side walks are a death trap full of ice and snow.
Feels so good not to be trapped.
The first thing I have to do today is go buy some food! Then the gym. This day I'm going to hit the 10,000 steps.
Cheers!

Hi ladies
Well I didnt' quite get to 10,000 but I didnt' do too bad and I'm feeling like it was a good day.
No more food as it's after 8pm.
We are expecting a snow storm....maybe some shoveling will move things along.

Hi, wondering if I can join the over 50 group? Been working out and could use some extra motivation. Live in Wisconsin where we are freezing currently and all I want to do is curl up with a book, blanket and fireplace. Thanks Ana

I'm wondering..does anyone else get bone weary tired immediately after eating?
I do and it matters not what I eat. Or how much...mostly it's dinner...I eat and I want to just lay down and crash...I fight through it but it's overwhelming. Hormones maybe?
I'm not diabetic...I've been tested.

it takes 21 days to form a habit...1 day at a time, eat and then walk...STAY AWAY FROM THE COUCH OR BED:smileyhappy:

Could be hormones Carrie but it also could be lack of enzymes in your body to properly digest your foods. Hopefully, you're taking some good whole-food vitamins and enzymes to help your body metabolize foods.

walking is impossible for me immediately after dinner. But it has nothing to do with habit. It has to do with eating. Has been happening for quite some while.
Last night I gave into it. I fell asleep at 7pm, woke at 3am, went back to bed at 5am and awakened at 9:30 am and I feel great.
I was actually really and truly sleepy. I rarely get 5 hours per night so that's not surprising.
The human body is so intelligent. If only the human brain was smart enough to listen.
Cheers!
