looking for friends - 50s and female and getting fabulous!

Hi!  I'm looking for some friends for motivation and support.  I'm 51, female, and working on losing 30 lbs.  My A1c is pre-diabetic so I'm shedding some weight to try and get it under control.

Anyone?

Hi all!  Pulled the scales out from under the bed this morning........lost 5.8 lbs. since last Monday!  Really happy I'm not at 178 anymore.  Since I weighed myself Feb 9, I've lost 14 lbs in exactly 4 weeks (averaged 3.5 lbs/wkp but not really; because for 10 days I was stuck at 178 lbs).  This will peter out to 1-2 lbs per week as the weeks go by.

So, to Barbara, Joanie25 and other posters, I put the scale back under the bed.....

WOW!!  Good job!

I just began to put my scale in the closet. Trying not to weigh for 2 weeks at a time (instead of every day). I did break down and sneak a peak yesterday and lost 1.4 lbs. which is huge for me.

Keep up the good work!

that is great that you have done so well already!!!!! i have not cut out sugar, but i have removed pasta, potatoes and bread, its only been like one or two weeks of that plus i am weight training and some cardio, my cardio is lacking, that i really need to work at, been trying at least i do it once a day, but you are doing great -- keep it up

Crystalship - 1.4 lbs is awesome!  Kudos to you.  I think not having the stress of jumping on the scale everyday definitely helped me out.

I have a small bedroom with a queen size bed - I use the broom handle to push the scale right up the middle of the floor under the bed.  It takes a lot of effort to get it back out.....LOL!!!

Here's hoping the closet works for you - did you just peek? Smiley Very Happy

LOL! Using a broom handle to push it under the bed! I hide mine under the laundry basket but was feeling "thin" yesterday so I dug it out. Glad I did.

I bought a large container of whey protein powder, vanilla flavor, added one scoop to 8 oz of almond milk(unsweetened), add 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks(use instead of ice), add 1/2 banana, and a splash of cinnamon and equal. Blend and for about 200kcal , I have this as a breakfast smoothie, it is filling and satisfying. I have lost 6 lbs using my fibit and counting calories, This is since March 1st

I think I'm going to pull out my old 'sweating to the oldies' tapes.  Even if I only march to them it should be lively and that should be worth a few real steps.  Think I'm going to change my 'steps' goal to 5000 too.  That way I can experience the thrill of feeling the vibration when I reach 'goal' a few days a week.

I just bought a Nutribullet 900 and am very happy I did. I have to admit, I'm not very good at getting enough fruits and veggies in my diet but with this blender I have a smoothie every day and it tastes great! Just thought I would let you all know. Happy stepping!!Yooper Annie
