is there anyone out there in the fitbit world that needs a buddy to keep them on track? I'm willing to check in with you regularly if you can stick with me and keep me motivated.
I've hit a weird slump and haven't lost anything in 2 weeks. I'm eating right and excersising but have been sliggish lately after not seeing much progress on the scale. I know its a slow progress, but my patience is wearing thin and thought I could share this journey with someone, a stranger, to keep me on track and help someone else too.
LET'S MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER!

Hi Sam -- I'm not really in a position to be a fit buddy for you right now but your post made me think of something that might be of help. You say you're in a slump and the scales haven't moved for a couple weeks. But what else would you do except continue eating well and exercising? Go back to eating awful foods that are unhealthy and sitting around doing nothing (I'm not saying that's exactly what you were doing.....)? I just feel like I'm in this for the long haul. Forever. Because I know that I always feel best when I eat healthy foods. And I always feel best when I get those 15,000 steps (or however many you have as a goal). When I'm at my goal weight, I hope I still use my Fitbit....I'll just be able to be on a maintenance mode and maybe add some calories. But I never want to go back to eating junk and sitting around getting depressed. Ugh! So, I would say to you.....keep going. That weight will come off. You're maybe on a plateau. Maybe you'll have to tweek the calories and exercise a bit.....but if the alternative is eating junk and sitting around being lazy -- no. That's not an option! Eating well and moving is just too important. Hope this makes sense! Good luck.

Exercise isn't required for weight loss.
Eating less than you burn is.
If that daily burn happens to have exercise in it - then of course you get to eat more and that may be easier to adhere to, and of course the heart health and body improvements from exercise is always great.
But as long as you have Fitbit set for a reasonable deficit to whatever you burn daily, and you meet your daily eating goal - you should be losing.
Sluggish day or not.
Unless - you have a good reasonable weight loss goal that is small - but your food logging is inaccurate.
That could wipe out a deficit to what you burn by accidentally eating more than you think.
Do you weigh all food that goes in your mouth, and only measure liquids? Calories is per weight, not volume.
Weigh packages you eat and divide by how much weight per serving.
Weigh out your servings that you eat.
Weigh fruits and vegetables and use correct entries for food to log them.
Just mentioning that in case you aren't.
Also, if you changed or increased exercise big time in last 2 weeks, you could be retaining water for repair, that will eventually drop.

Going back to logging is an excellent idea. Can't tell you how easy it is to underestimate what is actually being eaten. I am sure you will start to see a difference. One other thing, if you have lost a significant amount of weight, you may want to recalc your caloric allowance. Your intake should be shrinking with your weight..
