🙂 That would almost be like asking "how many leaves are on a tree?" 🙂 My goal is 20,000 and most days I'm in the 16K to 21K range. This probably isn't average because I go out for walks 3-4 times most days. I'm retired and determined to loose a little weight 🙂

You got bigger or shorter strides?

Is it coming from active work or walking farther in to work?

Agree with above - not really a question you'll get a useful answer from.

Where it and do your normal activity and see how many steps you get without motivation.

If you want more daily activity burn, increase the step goal above normal.

If you want more exercise burn, leave the step goal and go for VAM goal for exercise.

@angiesaszWorls Health Organisations want us to aim for 10,000 steps/day but we are all different. Fitbits baselines are based on the CDC Guidleines at this link. Read this

I aim for 15000 a day and normally get somewhere around 20000 and 150 active minutes.

You can find a humoristic take on classifying the activity level of people based on their daily step count here.
