I would like to make any person on this website that there’s lots of scammers here I have been chatting to 7 of them all charming and lovely to you one in particular says he’s a peacekeeper in Afghanistan tells me he loves me and wants to Marry me but he needs 1500 for vacation time to get him out another one army pilot wants me to help him check if his bonus has arrived in his account yet then there’s the bloke says he’s an  orthopaedic surgeon and a drilling contractor. Proclaiming there love for you but all they want is your money it’s a good job. I see transparency in people one nearly had me fooled I did fall for him and I could kick myself for believing he loved me be warned people

Wendy, I am part of a group of ant-scammers and just blocking them doesn't fix the problem. They are using stolen pictures, mainly from Instagram, and so are violating Fitbit Community rules. This also borders on copyright infringement and the legal owner of those pictures has every right to sue. Many of these scammers are from Nigeria and are school-age children but all they seem to know is how to try to take advantage of teens and the elderly. I will not take this sitting down! Wrong is wrong!

If you send me a friend request, I am part of a larger group of anti-scammer Fitbit users. That way you can tag me so I can tag others and we can get this scammer issue nipped in the bud! For every two or three scammers we determine who the pictures are stolen from, three or four more show up on this app...rediculous!

It seems my three dogs can do that better too!

It's one thing to flag them, but what I want to know is why when the scammer's profiles are reported to Fitbit, they're profiles are not deleted.  I've reported dozens of them and I would say that 80% of them are still active.  The only  thing that seems to work is when I call them out on their fake posts...

I did not know this, I just joined, so yeah. Thank you for the heads up.

I am part of an anti-scammer group on Fitbit. You might be waiting a while for the Fraud divisions to respond. We have ppl who determine where their pictures were stolen from, and once we have an idea of who they are, we report them as copyright issues. The fact that they steal soldiers' pictures...even dead ones that that...is insane! And if they require Google Translate to figure out why their posts are garbled. that's a dead giveaway. As well, we look to see which groups they're in...so a scammer (95% of female pictures stolen are male scammers from Nigeria anyways) if they're in Pregnancy, Trying to Conceive, or some other female group of that nature they are likely in that group to find out unsuspecting women and young girls to send friend requests to. If they ask to chat on Hangouts or some other social media app, that's a warning as well. We will only talk with ppl here on Fitbit. So yeah if you need to go through your friends' list to confirm, it would be best not to just accept anyone\s friend request. We also check for recent activity and posts. For anyone who wants to learn more, we have a Stage 1 Hypertension group that you can join, but you will need to be invited by a friend if they are a member of that group! Stay on the alert...scammers are everywhere on Fitbit...and they're usually some hints that give them away!

I'd love to join the anti-scammer group.   I just had one whining  at me for having him deleted off Fitbit.  Well done Fitbit!  Here's what he sent!  LOLscammerSantos.jpeg

Okay, Amy. My username is GTiger so feel free to send me a friend invite. I can then add you to our group. Since it's classified as private, only admins and friends can invite friends. You'll get a kick out of some of the stupidity scammers try to pull! Just give me an idea of your username so I know who to look for. We're always looking for new members to our group....we just don't request anyone invite scammers to that group!

just sent you an invite.. you can't miss my blue WB shield 🙂  looking forward to being with your group!
