Hi @Sheekafit  why waste the effort? These people have more time than common sense. You've got better things to do with your time!

I made a mistaka and went off fitbit to talk some one.  He said we would talk about fitness.  I have learnt since then.  But he keeps telling me if i stop  talking and givinging him gift cards he will post bad pictures of me.  he said he would post them on Fit bit.  Harris Hartman is him he is a scammer.  But i know better and I just hope he can't post bad pictures on fitbit.

Harris Hartman, eh? What pics does he have?

As far as I think myself, if someone asks another person to go out of Fitbit to chat, alarm bells start ringing. Always question it!!

I have been asked by quite a few people but just ask them what is the difference of talking on Fitbit and somewhere else 😅 what is talked about on Fitbit isn't going to change because its a different platform 🤔

I've had at least two guys ask me to leave Fitbit earlier this year and
both times I refused.

Hi @quilting65  one rule of the internet is that going off with someone (from whatever platform you're in) is the same as letting a bad guy take you to another spot so he can rob or hurt you. I hope you've stopped talked to him and have blocked him. Just in case he does post something inappropriate, you know it gets removed as the forums are pretty well monitored. He's just trying to intimate you. Stay safe.

Good to hear that you took the initiative, though just for arguments sake that you did agree and accepted their invite to chat elsewhere. You can still keep yourself safe by not giving your personal information to anyone. Though make sure it's a place that you can report them.

Bumkins, I am not advocating scammers but I noticed sometimes the steps a day is displayed incorrectly. It is actually the steps for 7 days but listed as a day. You can also look at what badges they have received and activities posted before accepting them as a friend. I get my share of scammer requests and do not accept people with no steps, no badges, and no posts. I also look at when they joined since most of the scammers just joined that day or that week.
