Welcome to the Fitbit family!

Whether you've just got your Fitbit or have been with us for years, share a little about yourself with the wider Fitbit fam. You might find someone with the same interests or even the same health goals as you. You can say hi any way you like but if you're stuck, kick it off with:

  1. Where in the world are you?
  2. What is your current health/fitness goal?
  3. How do you like to stay fit?
  4. What motivates you?
  5. Favorite guilty pleasure

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi my name's Stefan, I've chosen my forum name as it means "Happiness" in Sanskrit. My Friends know me as Mys-ti-que and I adore cats! Came back to Fitbit as needing finding a way to loose weight (change body composition).

  1. Where in the world are you? In front of a computer, searching for cat memes..
  2. What is your current health/fitness goal? Feeling how true hunger feels like!
  3. How do you like to stay fit? Practice Yoga
  4. What motivates you? Fitbit 😽
  5. Favorite guilty pleasure Chocolate & Coffee! (or both at once)

Hey everyone! I've had a Fitbit for about six years now. All my posts are usually done via the Fitbit app on my phone and in real time. I'm happy to be here! I love to help motivate people, all while sharing my own stories and life experiences. A little more about me:

  1. Where in the world are you?
    1. Colbert, GA (United States)
  2. What is your current health/fitness goal?
    1. Current goal: To run my 1st 10k. In the past, I've run multiple 5k's. After relocating from one coast to another I fell out of my routine. I'm easing myself back into what I use to be, more in shape and with a healthy mind set. I've started 2020 with a goal to help achieve my 10k goal! My plan is to run at least one 5k a month (apart of a local race series), always evaluating and pushing myself a little farther out of my comfort zone. I've registered for my first 10k that will take place in June. Here's to keeping the main thing the main thing!
  3. How do you like to stay fit?
    1. I like to run, preferably outside on the road. Sometimes I do run inside, but it's not as enjoyable on the track/ treadmill. I have to be moving, outside.
  4. What motivates you?
    1. Honestly my family motivates me! When I was in the navy I was in way better shape than I am now. Somewhere along the line I just stopped. I want my boys to see that exercise and fitness is key to a healthy life. All the while it gives opportunity to teach them how to make and achieve goals. If I can show them that I'm healthy, fit for my age, and teach them key life lessons I have truly succeeded. This is what motivates me.
  5. Favorite guilty pleasure
    1. It would have to be a greasy burger and fries from my favorite burger joint, Five Guys. It's become a Christmas Eve tradition for my family, and sometimes a stop after a long day.

I was looking for a more appropriate place to get answers, but I find no way to contact Fitbit directly. I had a chat session the other day about 2 inappropriate friend requests I got. I did not get much help. I was told to block them. But there is no way to block them. Only deny request. Now I just went into my Fitbit app to log food and it didn't know me. I logged in with FB and ALL of my stuff is gone. There is something going on and I think Fitbit should be aware. All of my settings also are and were on private so no one should have been able to send me a random friend request. ALL OF MY STUFF IS GONE!!!!!!

Great to hear that you are continuing to exercise on a regular basis. My wife and I are 67 and walk everyday even during cold winter months. Last year was our best year walking 4000 KM's. I also cycle 6 months a year.

I live along the Atlantic seaboard, in the southeastern Commonwealth of Virginia. I am fourscore years

My current fitness goal is that of a beginner, 3500 steps per day for one year.

I stay fit by doing stretching exercises and stationary bike riding as a warm up then

lifting some iron to maintain upper body strength, then some Tai Chi to go away for awhile.

What motivates me is my family and my curiosity.

My favorite guilty pleasure is French apple pie crowned with a scoop of vanilla ice cream ❤️

Hi Marenka! Good to see that you are motivated to join us 🙂 I live in Georgia but my family and I have lived in PA for 3 years (a little town on the edge of the Pocono's called Lehighton, we only had 3 kids back then). I have type II diabetes and kind of lost control of my blood suger and am now in the process of loosing about 20lbs to help with better control. I have dropped 10 so far and it's looking better. I lift weights about 3 times a week, but most of my activity is generated from fitbit competitions. Walking around the house with the wife and kids (8 boys and 2 girls). We have provided most of them with Fitbit devices and almost always have 2-3 competitions going. The wife participates with moderated Fitbit groups. Most of us just use the canned competitions. Either way you are welcome to join us if you want to.
