Welcome to the Fitbit family!

Whether you've just got your Fitbit or have been with us for years, share a little about yourself with the wider Fitbit fam. You might find someone with the same interests or even the same health goals as you. You can say hi any way you like but if you're stuck, kick it off with:

  1. Where in the world are you?
  2. What is your current health/fitness goal?
  3. How do you like to stay fit?
  4. What motivates you?
  5. Favorite guilty pleasure

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Sort of like if you match a pound of butter to a pound of chicken breast? I'm picturing in my mind the butter will take up about twice the space. I'll have to look at this when I get home tonight or maybe tomorrow! HAHA! (that's the way my brain works...gotta check this stuff out for a true visual instead of "imagery"!)

Hi Im Nicole from Melbourne in Australia

I have had a Fit Bit 3 charge for nearly a year

Never had a problem until two nights ago when I saw my sleep hours had not registered on the Fit Bit app

I tried turning blue tooth on and off restalling the app have watched every you tube video to no avail

I m obsessed with knowing how much sleep i have and this is causing huge anxiety

I dont know what to do

If i look at my account details on the app it keeps saying looking for charge 3 but never gets further

My internet is strong

I have that problem from time to time, General I fix it by swiping to Settings, then About and then Reboot Device.

@Nics_69 I had very similar issues last month. Spent a week (off and on) with Customer Service - phone, chat, email, phone. Try calling. We tried several different things and nothing worked. You might have better luck. Since I had mine for less than a year, they sent a new one.

HI,

I live near Vancouver, Canada and my goal is to feel better by getting stronger and losing some weight.   I like to walk, hike, kayak, swim, and do yoga. My motivation is my health, I have some chronic physical issues that get worse when I don't look after myself. My guilty pleasure is chocolate. I would love to add some friends for accountability and motivation so send me a friend request if you are looking for the same. 🙂

Hi!  I'm Ben and currently living in the RGV Texas (formerly of Warren, Oh waaaaaaay back).  Currently I am on a gradual monthly progression in building strength and speed.  Just an easy peasy 3mi and 5 sets of my gym program (5 sets for May and next month is a 6 month soooo comes the next layer).  Saturdays I do my long(ish) runs (lately has just been 6milers).  I find myself being very grateful for my life and that is what motivates me to continue to keep this physical form I have been given in shape.  I have been indulging in butter pecan ice cream the past couple of weeks but I believe I am kicking that for a while :D.

Take care All!

Hi! I'm Kathleen.

I normally don't participate in online communities, I'm more of an observer but I figured engaging might help keep me on track and not feel so alone on this journey. So here we go.

  1. Where in the world are you? Canada 🙂
  2. What is your current health/fitness goal? To beat my lazy thyroid.
  3. How do you like to stay fit? Weight training and cycling but I've recently started yoga as well.
  4. What motivates you? Honestly, just getting ahead of my thyroid condition. It makes losing weight twice as hard but I'm deadset on getting to where I was before. Over the course of 2 months, I became exhausted, couldn't focus, and gained weight without changing my diet or exercise routine. I went to my doctor and he was quite shocked on how sudden it came on. I'm being medicated now, and hope with determination and tracking I can get ahead of the problem.
  5. Favorite guilty pleasure: Poutine ❤️

Thanks for reading and have a great day everyone!

I am DONE with Fitbit!  My Versa has been nonfunctional for two months and they keep telling me it's a software issue, which IS NOT true.   My husband's identical device works perfectly on MY iPhone, but my Versa does not.  I gave them time to "fix" the problem, but it's clear that my device is faulty, it's NOT a software issue.   After many communications over many weeks (which took hours of my time), I asked for a replacement device only to be given the same crappy answer that I've gotten every other time before. If you can't own up to a problem and truly fix it after two months, I no longer have any confidence in the integrity of the company. I'm DONE with Fitbit as of today and will recommend to everyone I know that they NOT invest in any Fitbit product.

Hello to all.

1. Where in the world are you?  I am in West Haven, CT

2. What is your current health/fitness goal?/3. How do you like to stay fit?  To stop people from pushing me back into the ocean.  LOL  I have struggled with weight all of my adult life.  Even with regular exercise I don't lose weight.  I have to do extreme stuff like do 20 - 30 minutes of aerobics, lift weights for an hour then go for a 3 - 7 mile run to lose.  Anything less and I stay healthy, but won't lose a pound.  I am retired and don't get the exercise I did when I was working.  To make things worse, I fell down my cellar stairs 3 years ago and messed up my shoulder and ruptured a disc in my neck.  The ruptured disc pinches nerves running down my left side preventing me from lifting weights. I'm not even able to do a plank because my shoulder can't take the weight or pain it causes.  So, I'm pretty much limited to aerobic activity.  I also have cellulitis in my legs, and it bothers my heels and ankles a lot, so walking on blacktop and concrete is out.  I have a LifeFitness Recumbent bike, a Precor C964i Commercial Treadmill and a LifeFitness elliptical that I exercise on.  No pounding on the heels and ankles.  My goal is to lose 98 lbs.  Since I started with my Fitbit April 1st (2020) I have lost 18 lbs.  80 to go.

4. What motivates you?  The old fat guy that lives in my mirror.  LOL

5.  Guilty pleasure.  Baked goods.  I bake muffins, fudge brownies, cookies, scones and a loaf of bread every week.  (Not every one of them every week.  Just a loaf of bread and one of the other items.)  I have a coffee and a Dunkin Donut every morning.  A protein shake for lunch with my workout and I eat one meal around 7:00PM every day.  Then in the late evening I'll have a muffin or something for a snack.  A typical day I take in around 1,750 calories.  It works for me because I'm losing a little more than 2 lbs. a week.
