I just spent half an hour + waiting for a live chat to resolve an issue and it was pointless!  Do yourself a favor, don't waste time, just google your issue.  It took me less than 5 minutes, I don't know why I bothered with Fitbit support

Hello Fit Bit People!

I am in Owensboro, Kentucky, USA. I have gained weight over the years and my goal is to lose weight to reduce joint and lower back pain, reduce risk of other health factors. I am experiencing menopot!!! I love to swim and do aqua classes, walk and stationary bike for exercise. Luckily I have a pool!  I have a sedentary job, so I am hoping my fitbit will nudge me to get moving more! I need to be held accountable, so it would be great to find a buddy or group on fit bit to check in with!

@Marenka 20lbs is doable, but just remember its just a number... muscle weighs more than fat and as you workout and exercise you will build muscle. So the scale might not change as much, but your physique will start to look much better. Just enjoy yourself and keep at it... exercising is addictive! Best of luck to you!!! 💪🏻

@Moby316 Muscle weighs more than fat. "In simple terms, a pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat," Heimburger tells WebMD. "The difference is that muscle is much more dense than body fat. Therefore, a pound of muscle will take up much less room in your body than a pound of fat.

@WendyB You are correct in that a pound is a pound, no matter what the item that is being weighed. With that being said, as you stated, if you have the same volume of fat and the same volume of muscle, then the muscle will weigh more than the fat. Instead of this going in a direction of seeing who is smarter than the other with a twist on words, my point was to encourage the poster and also not to get discouraged. To the original poster @Marenka... Good Luck!
