Hey Jamesrsa,

What kind of Fitbit do you have? I have a Versa and my standard black watch band lasted about 6 months. However, I am a cross country and track runner who [at the time] was averaging 70+ miles a week with my watch - and I never cleaned it properly until now. I ended up buying 3 replacement bands for under $15 at a Target, so you should have some good options. If it breaks early reach out to the Fitbit customer service - the Fitbit team did a relatively good job of working with me to replace my band - just make sure you have pictures! Hope this helps! 🙂

Hey Donnell,

I looked into your site a bit. If I may ask - what kind of training regimens do you offer for cross country athletes or competitive runners in general seeking long distance goals and pace improvement? Feel free to reach out to me on my email ivanhenderson31@aol.com.

Hey everyone! I'm looking to add friends through my FitBit to compete with! Friendly competition, just to keep me challenging myself. I average like 12k per day, with a goal of 16 flights of stairs a day. Please reach out if you'd like to connect!

  1. Where in the world are you? Houston, Texas, USA
  2. What is your current health/fitness goal? Be as active and fit as possible, which is difficult with a computer job and a household to take care of
  3. How do you like to stay fit? I love swimming, dancing, roller skating, biking, horseback riding, and weight lifting. But with the pandemic, I've switched to speed walking, bands for muscle work, home calisthenics, and biking (when it's not too hot). My daughter and I skate around our complex quite a bit, but you can't go fast on the concrete with quad skates: it's not fast enough to get my heart rate up.
  4. What motivates you? I know I feel better when I've exercised. I had a long illness that kept me from exercising for months, and since I've recovered, I understand what a gift it is to be able to exercise. So I get in my steps and my active minutes every day. And I mean EVERY day.
  5. Favorite guilty pleasure: Stealing out of work 3-4 times a day to walk up and down the shady, garden filled block next to my office building and climb the four flights of stairs back to my office. It's a real pick-me-up.

I want to add friends, but the link to that forum you suggested is not open to me. Can I get on a thread where people are looking for FitBit friends?

I just tuck my Fitbit on the inside of my sock when I am unable to move my arms. I do this when stationary biking or walking on the treadmill while holding the bar, or while pushing the grocery cart at the store. It measures heart rate and steps just fine. I've never worn it overnight there, though.

That is a good idea to tuck it in the socks. Thanks.
