Hi Wendy,
I was wearing both watches on my own arm during the workout? They had different readings of 200 calories?

@KelsiMcCaffrey 2 different devices two different readings. I assume they were on 2 different arms?
Your arms move different as well. Your expecting them to read the same. How can they?
And really what is 200 calories?
I guess Im not understanding the problem. No 2 devices will read the same

Hi Wendy,
No, I had them on the same arm. 200 calories is alot, there is a big difference in 507 and 307? I feel they are not accurate if you get such a difference in readings for the same person, doing the same workout, on the same arm.

Hi. I was reading about your problem. What I'm understanding, you were wearing both your and your husband's devices while doing an exercise. What Wendy said about the men and the women burning calories differently is key. It's been my experience that a fitbit device will be tied to one person and that person's profile. Your husband's is likely reading the data from a man's perspective, if that makes sense. You are wearing it but it thinks the profile owner is wearing it. Therefore it is thinking your husband (with his age, weight, gender, etc.) is doing the exercise. Just guessing here.

Greetings Everyone!
My name is Tameshia Wilson-Gumbs, and I am currently residing in Virginia Beach, VA due to the Navy. I am originally from Longview, Texas. After I graduated high school about 20 years ago, I became an avid fitness and nutrition guru. I ate well and had the stamina of a stallion horse. I maintained my fitness for years even throughout my tenure in the United States Navy. However, I fell off the wagon in 2014 after I gave birth to my daughter. I gained nearly 60 pounds during my pregnancy and was doing pretty good getting the extra pounds off while staying in Texas. The weather was perfect for getting outside to walk during the Spring season. Unfortunately, I fell way off the wagon again after moving to Washington State due to the Navy. We then re-located to a climate that wasn't always conducive to getting outside for exercise and fresh air. While attending classes for my Bachelors degree and certification in Health Insurance Billing and Coding, I tried getting back on track numerous of times and failed. I ended up gaining about 30 pounds on top of the 60 pounds of pregnancy weight. That's a total of 90 pounds of weight gain! Everyone that knew me were shocked as well. They knew me as Tameshia the "health nut." Fast forward 6 years later and I am not back on track to regaining my healthy lifestyle while losing all that weight. My body's memory bank forces me to get on the "good foot" and get some extra steps, stair-climbing, and weight training sessions in. Ah, have I remembered how addictive taking good care of my body is. With the coronavirus pandemic causing a reduction in my work hours, I have plenty of time to exercise. Some days, I get outdoors between 5:30am and 6am. Other days, I take my daughter outside to play with her kindergarten friend and I exercise in the vicinity of where they play. The area has a walking area around our residential pond. I combine jogging sessions with climbing the stairs in our apartment complex. About twice a week, I take a mat and some light weights outside while the girls play and do high repetitions weight training. I am determined to return as the "health nut" Tameshia.
