I am Toni, I live in Bascom Florida. I am a wife mother and grandmother in my mid 50s. I live on a farm also, and tend to animals everyday. We have goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, donkeys and horses. I have been married for 22 years and my husband works for NOAA. I like to walk and ride my bike. I love candy. I never respond to strangers but I think I need to be more open. My health is good except for high blood pressure, that I take pills for. Thank you for reaching out to me and being nice. You have a good, blessed day and stay safe.

Hi everyone!

My name is Sadie, and I recently found my way back to the Fitbit community. Over the years, I've tried many different trackers, apps, etc....and honestly, nothing beats Fitbit in my opinion!

1. Where in the world are you? I'm from Plano, Texas

2. What is your current health/fitness goal? To be HEALTHY! I don't really have a specific goal in mind, but I want to feel good and feel confident that I will have the energy to have a family one day soon.

3. How do you like to stay fit? I enjoy walking outside (when it's not too hot), and lifting weights.

4. What motivates you? The prospect of having a family one day. I want to be healthy enough to chase around a toddler and not get out of breath easily.

5. Favorite guilty pleasure? It's a tie between binge watching TV/Netflix, or eating a slice of lemon pie.

Good Morning Everyone.

On a fluke a few months ago, while randomly browsing Amazon, I bought a Fitbit... I love the ability to track my movement and life for that matter, even though progress is very slow going. I am a 42yr old empty nester and busy professional. I work insane hours, am the go-to for my family and often forget to focus on me. I have been overweight my entire life. My earliest memories are around family and food. After some lengthy internal healing, I'm now beginning to see progress on the scale.

To the questions;

  1. Where in the world are you? Margate, Florida - Sunny South Florida
  2. What is your current health/fitness goal? Honestly, to lose half my body weight!
  3. How do you like to stay fit? Walking, dance, HIIT & meditation
  4. What motivates you? My family and striving for healing.
  5. Favorite guilty pleasure? Wine tasting, Binge watching Netflix, mobile games & sugar 😞

Hoping to meet like-minded folks with lengthy journeys as well or simply a supportive spirit

Hello everyone!

I got a fitbit charge 2 from my parents about 6 months ago and I loved the product so much. I was impressed with the information it gives me and the ability to easily track my workouts, meals, and progress. I loved it so much I bought a new charge 4 December 1 and I was completely ready to sign up for the premium service. Fitbit had a lifetime user within their grasp.

Sadly, today I was working and the screen chipped and scratched from a relatively minor incident. I was disappointed but contacted customer service to see what I could do to get it fixed...nothing. They just responded not covered under warranty bye. No offer to fix it, not even for a fee...Now that I'm reading the forums a little more the durability of the products is a known issue and many people feel the customer service is terrible.

This one incident was enough to turn me off of Fitbit. I no longer will sign up for premium and I'm buying a different companies fitness tracker and trashing this brand new charge 4. Fitbit has lost a lifetime user. I hope others see this before they spend money on these products. I will be posting many other reviews around the web to inform others about the quality and service.

Well, I have to say that I understand you, sadly. I have been using a Charge 4 for ten days now and I was really disappointed by the fact that so many users are reporting issues on the various Fitbit forums (major GPS issues, stupid unresolved issues for renaming activities, etc.), and some of them have been reported for more than a year without anything else from Fitbit than generic answers (and mostly exactly the same answer each time the same problem is reported). This is not good at all, as this really pisses off users that end up doing what you are doing now, i.e. looking for something else. It is sad because it would be easy (i) to communicate in a honest way towards users, and (ii) to handle simple modifications of the app/web interface that would satisfy a lot of people, especially when they are repeatedly reported over months.

So far I am just discovering the use of a tracker for the first time in my life, but I am not sure I will stay with Fitbit for the next one if things do not change. Customer service and Support services are important things, and a company cannot snob its users and customers for a long time before it gets bad for it.

I believe this was not the point of Indyp99. When you are a company producing devices like the Fitbit, it is not a sound answer to tell your customers that you cannot handle a repair or a fix, even at a fee. It does not make any sense, especially if these issues are common (and scratched screens are common issues, just read the Fitbit forums).

Well regardless...Fitbit should have a means to repair their own products instead of just telling people to deal with it. It's not like I am asking for a hand out I would pay for the service.
