Fitbit Literally Saved My Life

Your heartrate feature notified me that my resting heartrate was low. I was curious about this so I contacted a doctor who arranged tests based on these concerning numbers. On August 1st I was fitted with a pacemaker after my heart stopped beating for more that 16 seconds. If not for this feature built in to my Inspire 2 I may not be alive today.

Is there some way to review my heart rate online?

The new online system just asks me to go to some App. I am a handicapped person and cannot use an App with a touchscreen.

Thank you.

Hi Puolala,

I believe all the information is on your dashboard from where you originally set up your Fitbit.

I think you have to select and set up the heart health option.

Hello VikkiY,

On my dashboard in the online version I do not see any options for heart health.

If you mean dashboard in some App, unfortunately I cannot use it. I cannot use a touchscreen.

Until recent changes, heart rate was directly available in the online version. They have made also monitoring sleep pattern more complicated but at least I was able to find access to see my sleep pattern.

Thanks!

Hi VikkY.  For me it was the Inspire 3.  It seldom registered sleep.  When it did, it showed badly broken sleep and low blood oxygen levels.  I went for an overnight PSG at a local hospital and it showed that I stop breathing more than 200 times each night and blood oxygen levels as low as 89%.  I am now prescribed nocturnal oxygen therapies that don't seem to be having any effect. Experimental drug therapy has even been talked about as a last resort.  In addition to that, I had a stent inserted in the "widow maker" artery in August and was heading for an early demise. Still a very tough road ahead.  People should believe what their Fitbit tells them.  Hoping all the best for you, VikkY.

@Sonataman44 I'm sorry you are going through that. I'm glad your Fitbit was able to provide you with some preliminary information, but it's great that you are also working with your medical team on this. Best wishes.
