Long Term Fitness Goals

When I was in my 20s - 50s some older relatives of mine were participants in Senior Olympics. I thought there were cute in their efforts to stay fit and then they both ended up living past 90. The longest of any one in my families.

These days I am progressing through my 60s, retired and staying active riding bike, nordic track and playing table tennis. I definitley urge each of you to always have a exercise program and have a goal to keep exercising when you are a senior.

Please no excuses. When I was a IT warrior, some times the only exercise time I had was to walk up and down stairs at the office. These were tough times to have regular exercise but the small amts of exercise helped greatly.

Be active, healty and happy!

Excellent contribution, I do think it's important to stay as active as possible as one gets older.

My grandfather was always active and when he turned 85, he was still in excellent shape and felt great; he always liked to take long walks in the park and did it every 2 or three days. 😀

Thank you for the awesome advice. I do my best to always get something physical into my day even if I have to part a little farther away at the grocery store.
