HI! I'm a teen librarian just trying to get in shape, shed some pounds, and still have time for books. Not a marathoner, just want to be healthy. Because a lot of my time is spent at a desk, I usually average about 10,000-13,000 steps daily during the week. Feel free to to add me! https://www.fitbit.com/user/3C4F4T

hi, sounds great! I'm 66 and I am disabled from having had 4 strokes that started at age 53. God has been good though as I could have been damaged way worse than I was. The right side of my body is tingly like when your arm falls asleep and my short term memory is horrible! I can remember probably better than before long ter but not short term therefore I have notepads everywhere as it the only way I can manage. Being inactive from the strokes I also gained a lot of weight. Not from eating more but from pretty much eating the same with less activity. Well, I finally told myself that I had to fix that situation so I really curtailed down my eating. Healthy, but less and more often to keep the metabolism hummed up. I started eating 5 times a day. a 300 to 500 calorie breakfast, a 50 to 100 calorie mid morning snack, a 600 to 800 calorie dinner at noon, a 50 to 100 calorie snack mid afternoon, and a 300 to 400 calorie evening meal. A night time snack could be non buttered popcorn etc. I have lost 85 pounds in 12 months without feeling weak. The first two months were hard where food cravings would plague me especially the fattier foods and sweet deserts and ice creams. I left them behind to lean meats, 90/10 hamburger, 80 calorie yogurt, skinless chicken thighs off the charcoal grill, etc. One can also get protein powder and add cup or so of 1% milk to a blender, then a small scoop of the powder then a big hadful of strawberries then a few ice cubes then start at slow speed and work up a little. Be sure not to add to much or it will overflow like I did a couple of times. Delicious snack! A few Ritz crackers with peanut butter, a salad with reasonable calorie dressing on it, yogurt, some pan fried fish in olive oil are also great snacks. Best wishes.

Hello everyone! I am a new Fitbit Blaze and Fitbit App user. I am loving my Fitbit Blaze tracker. My first week I lost 6 lbs. but I didn't have my Blaze yet. This is my second week and I have used my Blaze for 4 days now. It is proving to be very helpful in my weightloss battle. I am looking for friends for my weightloss journey to share struggles and triumphs with!

Hello,

Thank you for your message! I got challenged by a new friend for tomorrow for a step goal her name is Tree. I don't know how the challenges work since I am new. Can you join in on it? I didn't initiate the challenge, not sure if that makes a difference. If you want to initiate a challenge I can try one with you. I haven't been focusing on the nubmer of steps I do a day or stairs and such, I am mainly focusing on my workouts with how many calories I am burning. Also, I am focusing on loging my food into MyFitnessPal to come close to a set calorie goal and fat, carb and protein percentages.

Let me know about the challenge,

Thank you for your message,

Louri

Hi everyone!

I just got a Fitbit a few weeks ago to be more aware of how active (or lazy) I am. It's been great because it pushes me even to do just a little more every day! I work in an office, and rarely workout, so it was crazy at first to see how few steps I actually take each day! But that's gradually changing and I'm now going for 1 hour + walks almost every day after work (which is obviously a huge improvement)!

I truly feel like Fitbit is changing my life for the better! Not because I want to do strenuous workouts every day, but even just for the awareness factor.

Please feel free to add me on Fitbit to do some challenges!
