I think that's because I had already sent a request to you, but we're friends now 😊

I've had my fitbit for a while, but just recently discovered the community. I thought to compete in challenges, I could only do it with people I actually know and none of them use fitbits, so this is awesome! I've been slacking with my fitbit, so hopefully more friends and challenges will keep me more accountable.

Hi @Mfbernards,
That's a good question regarding screening or filter criteria to search for friends. When you are logged into this Fitbit.com website you can click on a person's profile pic/image and then click on the blue Go to profile page. Depending on what the user has allowed to be seen publically you will see info re steps, and weight goal and other information if the person has chosen to write something about themselves. So for example if you would like people looking for friends to know your step average or where you are from you would make the step avg visible to anyone and you would state where you are from in the "about me" box. Some people have no profile image, they have no steps shown and no info about themselves which makes it kinda difficult when they send out a friend request to someone they don't know because on the other end the person does not have any information to go on. So it goes both ways, if you want to friend folks with a certain step avg, age or location then they have to make some info available to others and you do too if you are hoping they will friend you back based on similar goals, afiliations, time zones, etc 🙂 I hope this helps Happy stepping :)--- MzP

@Mfbernards & @MzP:
In addition you may find people here: https://www.fitbit.com/groups
or even better: http://relliker.com/
The only problem is that the groups are pretty quiet - but you can try to connect with some members directly.
You can all add me if you fit in one or more categories
Munich/Germany, Wroclaw/Poland, European Timezone, ~10k steps
Cheers,
Narkissos

Hi. I've been using Fitbit One for several years, but without any Fitbit friends! Finally I realized that I should utilize this community. I work from home, so I don't walk much. I need motivation to go outside and walk! Please feel free to add me as a friend.

Hi Amy
I added you 😊
I average between 2k - 6k depending on my mood. My fitbit friends all average 15k a day so challenges aren't very challenging 😔

Hi
I'm looking for low step fitbit friends. I have severe depression and comfort eat A LOT. I also have daily chronic pain, but exercise is helping.
My average step count is between 2k -6k and my fitbit friends all average 15k a day so challenges aren't very challenging.
Please add me if you are in a similar boat.

Hi there, I'm also looking for some friends to do some challenges with. Preferably some that also have fitstar, so we can keep each other encouraged. I joined the get strong program for now.
My daily step goal is 8000 (happy if I reach 10k +, but some days that's just not doable with an office job) and a minimum of 30 active minutes (so far that's very very easy to achieve, I usually have more.)
I want to lose a little bit of weight but not too much (just a few kilo's), and more importantly - get stronger and fitter.
It would be nice to find people with approximately the same goals to keep each other motivated. I'd love to hear from you!!
