Hey all, I have today rejoined the Fitbit community with my Inspire HR. Fitting name really. I am 47, in Aussie and recently diagnosed with my second autoimmune condition. I have Graves Disease and now RA. The RA scares me and I've been wallowing in my own pity party for a few weeks. Enough of that. Time to find me again and fight. Been fitting Graves for many many years so RA is no different. Yes it's nasty and yes it's going to be a battle but I have to fight. So with that being said my word for 2020 is PERSISTENCE and I will do just that for my health and hopefully drop around 30kgs along the way. Looking for encouraging and uplifting friends 💕
Hi, I am 45 and live in the USA in the midwest. I am looking for fitbit friends to help stay motivated. I enjoy walking, hiking, biking and yoga. I am looking to lose 30pounds in 2020. I am looking into buying the premium features for my fitbit. Please add me or PM if you have questions.
Thanks
Greetings from the UK !
2020 is my year to get as fit as possible and complete some epic walks, hikes, cycle rides and swims...
If anyone is looking to do like wise and fancy throwing down a few challenges please feel free to add me !
thank you and have a great 2020
Looking for more fitbit friends!
I am from Australia so challenges I send out will most likely be in a different time zone.
I am addicted to challenges so I send them out quite regularly.
With the addition of custom challenges, I am enjoying daily and weekly All In One challenges so I tend to send those out more regularly than standard challenges.
I have also started doing month long custom challenges. I will be alternating between steps, distance and activity time so if anyone is interested in that, let me know 🙂
I love this quote! "Freedhoff suggests this: Think about your life. Think about the healthiest foods you can eat and still be happy. Think about the kinds of exercise you truly enjoy. And just do that."
Hey everyone,
I'm a 51 year old dad in the mid-west (Chicago 'burbs). I just replaced my four year old Apple Watch with a Versa and it was a good choice to switch.
Anyway, I'm into martial arts, walking, cooking (and eating, of course), and looking to get more active again in 2020 while continuing my journey back to health. I would l love to connect with some more friends to be held accountable and be challenged.
Cheers!
Good luck!! There are some trails you are able to use in order to get extra steps. You can do it!!!
Best AnswerHi, I'm just joining the Fitbit community with my Blaze. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and one autoimmune condition (Hashimoto's thyroiditis), and now the doctors are trying to decide whether or not I have RA. The labs have not been definitive, some elevated, some not, and they seem to think I'm headed in the RA direction. So you and I are in a somewhat similar situation. My goal this year is to get myself in the healthiest state I can, including losing some weight. I have been goofing off during the holidays. It's time to crack down! Have you signed up for a challenge? I haven't done yet, but may do so.
Best AnswerHi There, I have just sent you a friend request.
Last year I was involved in a challenge that was to walk 2019 miles in 2019. Unfortunately the web based groups were taken down in June and to be honest I was very browned off with Fitbit and ignored the community for a while. I now need to get my motivation back up and want to get to walking around 22k-25k steps a day.
I'm 68 male and live in Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory. Not doing much exercise at the moment as the smoke and ash from nearby bush fires has made our air quality the worst in the world.
Would appreciate some competition to get my steps back up once the air quality here allows it.
Hello, my name is Juraj, from Slovakia and I am here to get healthier lose some weight and get as much fit as possible 🙂 feel free to add me. I would like to see some people ahead of me to be motivated to catch up 😄 I am not a runner, just regularly doing cardio, weights, etc.
Thanks and looking forward to all of you guys 😉
I hope you don't mind; it looks like you would fit in with our group. The wife usually beats me she is usually around 20K steps I range from 18-24K and we have a bunch of kids that really relish the competition.
Best AnswerHi, I've been on a weight loss journey since Feb 2019 and I've lost 6 stone so far!
It all started with getting a fitbit and competing with colleagues on steps. I'd like to do more of this. So add me if you want to do challenges and motivate each other 👍🤟😀
Welcome! Good to have you. Feel free to add me to your friends list is you want some regular competitions. There is however a 12 hour time difference between us. This could make things interesting 🙂
