Who has the Most Lifetime Fitbit Steps?

I thought it might be fun to see some of the "Total Lifetime Steps" figures from a few of the more diehard Fitbiters out there. I've been using my Fitbit Ultra for just about 2 years, and noticed that I've now gone past the 5 Million Steps mark (I'm currently at: 5,018,549 steps).

While 5 Million Steps may seem like a lot to some newer Fitbit users, I can tell you for sure, that my wife easily has me beat, since she now has logged over 7½ Million Steps (and we both started using our fitbits right around the same time).

But of course, I'm sure we could actually see some really amazing high figures if some of the more agressive Fitbit users would like to share their current Lifetime totals with the community.

Actually I am 81.

I can only just remember when I was 78.

After several years of trying I have not found anybody who has done more steps

@yu4517 Peter, unless you slow right down, while you're on this earth you won't see anyone in front of you.

I hope to pass 100 million later this year, but that still puts me way behind you.

Wow. Amazing step counts - all you in the lead!

I've just checked my life steps. A mere 43,652,265. Only 97 million steps to go to catch up and by then who knows how many more million steps you will have added!

That's still a good total, @Callyo:. for how many years have you been counting your steps?

I'm 70 yrs old , starting using fitbit 6 yrs ago. Average around 20,000 steps a day= 45,000,000 steps. Its getting harder to continue averaging the same steps each day but I also bike which I find is easier on my body. I am on my 4th fitbit all charge versions. If you find nice places to walk and bike we will probably continue  these exercises . Fitbit has probably saved the medical system billion of dollars as most people using fitbit are in better health than most people the same age.

I agree with you comments about life saving value of FitBit.

If you were to give them away free, the logic would be to save money, nobody would use them!

I have lost many Fitbits over the years, I now have a supply, but since getting some spare ones my habit of losing them has stopped.

@A24 That's nearly halfway round the world - so see if you can do the other half before you're 70!

Thanks, Vidd, I've been counting my steps for years but the previous devices don't count. I started on this Fitbit account on 19 February 2017, so five years and seven months 🙂

This morning I reached 25 million steps! As you can see, I had a pretty slow start with Fitbit for the first two years (I got my Fitbit Blaze on June 28th, 2016) and even 4 months where I was not wearing my Fitbit. But in 2018 I decided to become more active by lifting weights and then increase my step count from there. I've been pretty consistent since 2018. I'm excited to keep adding on the steps.  🙂

Congratulations and thanks for sharing @Heather-S. It’s always fun when these milestones (‘millionstones’) come up in the community.

@Baltoscott I've also been working toward my next lifetime floor badge. Ever since I first got a Fitbit, I've always lived in very flat places (Florida and Oklahoma), so I do not get many floors as you can see. We moved this summer (in Florida) and there are some hills around my neighborhood that I've been walking to reach my next badge (the Spaceship badge - 14,000 lifetime floors).  I'm almost there!

Well done, @Heather-S!. That's a nice number for a milestone, and your consistency is very good.

@yu4517 , I'm replying to your post on the NOtable NOvember thread in which (for ease of reading here) you said:

"You will pass my total for 2022.
I have had a few issues that had me out of action for more than 2 months this year.
I think I will end up between 11M and 12M.
Which will be below every year except 2012
What do you expect for 2022?
My next target is 150M steps, which should happen in June 2023, with luck.
You are doing well.
Peter"

Thanks!  the target I meant was that of your steps in 2020, which numbered 14,682,364.  I started the year aiming for 15 million, but am now trying for 16 million.

Sorry you've had some problems this year - are they sorted out yet?

150 million is a nice target for 2023 for you - and I expect you are thinking that 200 million in 2027 or 2028 would be even nicer!  Good luck!

Well today I have at last joined the 100 million step club.  It has taken 3623 days, so just over four weeks short of ten years.
