Did you mean:

You know you're a Fitbit addict when...

  • You pace the house to get to a particular figure before going to bed
  • You sit down when recharging as you don't want to 'waste' any steps
  • You park further away from the shops to gain extra steps

I just hope the novelty won't rub off! I know the motivation with me will come & go. I was signed up to My Fitness Pal before I got a Fitbit and went of it before I was given the wonderful Fitbit, that makes me do the cardio...! I'd normally do a gym class or circuits instead of a run for example.

Yes, I put my shopping chart at one end of the store (supper market or TJ Maxx) & each item I get I take to the cart, this helps me get in my steps! Yes this Fitbit has me thinking at my age!

You KNOW you are a fitbit addict when you run a marathon before noon, take a nap, walk around a little, and upon checking your e-mail IN BED and seeing the e-mail at 8pm that night informing you that you have earned your 70,000 step daily badge and "just" have 4500 more steps to go to earn the maximum badge offered, the 75K badge, you actually CONSIDER GETTING OUT OF BED and walking 2.5 more miles before midnight.

I didn't actually get up and DO that, prudence and rest got the best of me because some days you just have to let....it....go....

LOL.

Another day, perhaps.  😃

Excellent story - Glad you got your rest.

Wow that is impressive. I went for a run quite late at night... But that is nothing in comparison! I was super pleased when I had completed my 10,000 steps too so I was thrilled that I did a run gaining another 10k steps... Wont make the 30 one tonight though... Sad times!

@ladybug76At least you didn't jog around when he was trying to hug you!

Did you unmake the bed and start over?

I didn't "unmake it" I did however, PERFECT it.  Lol and got caught.  He says, "oh, sorry sweetheart. I was just trying to hurry and get it done."  hahaha.

I keep the walking hugs in mind.  Thanks.

I have been walking systematically for about 3 years now but only got the Fitbit Flex this past Christmas and I am certainly addicted! I only take it off to recharge or when I bath or sauna. I have the luxury of plenty of free time, being semi retired, so I take long walks to get my steps and try to be active around the house when I'm home.
Great device and community!

@Oryth101Your wife isn't drifting around, she's trying to outstep you! Sounds like a fun household to me.
