I have just came back from NY & Mexico. The fitbit worked in new york and changed to the timezone itself but when I went to Mexico, I obviously was not using it so had no recent activity, but on coming home to the UK I am back to the London timezone in the settings and it still is in Mexico time on the display & even though I have clocked steps since I came back, it won't sync it just keeps "looking". help!

Welcome to the Forums @Patti107. If your tracker is not syncing, I recommend verifying that it is paired to your account. If you are not seeing the One tile, it means that it is not paired and that you should follow the Setup Procedure from your iOS Fitbit app.

Thanks for the information @Patti107. Have you tried the steps I provided to setup your tracker as a new device from your Android Fitbit app? If you haven't please try the instructions. If you have and didn't work, you can also follow the Setup Procedure from a computer.

No, I recommend clicking on Existing User and follow the instructions @Patti107. Before setting up your tracker again you can Restart your One following the instructions that @Odyssey13 is providing.
