Distance from One for battery notifications

How far away from your One can you be to get notifications on your battery level? I lost mine the other day and have not been able to find it. I've retraced my steps all around town. But I still got a notification on my phone from the app that the battery level was low. I'm hoping that means it's close by.

Hi, @BeccaBT, if you got a low battery notification then it means it must have synced, which is very good news.  To sync it will need to be in Bluetooth range -- approx 30 feet or less.

I have tried syncing it to my phone several times around the house and it says the tracker can't be found, which is why I was so surprised to get a battery level notification. 

I'm sure by now the battery is dead and I still haven't found it. 😞
