Fitbit Counting Time Down After Showing Time

After showing the time my Fitbit one is counting down (now it's 4:04:07.8).  What causes this?  Does it affect the steps count?  Thanks.

You probably activated a timer. Hold in the button until it stops

@wendywitt Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with your One's time counting down.

Are you still experiencing the same? Have you tried @WendyB's suggestion about checking if there is a timer on? 

You could also try performing a restart on your One. That should also help you out if the issue is not the timer being activated.
