Which badges are you referring to @gacdk .In general most badges are updated after a sync to the users Fitbit account .The update omg is done in the cloud, not the tracker .
My question, does the data on Fitbit.com look correct. Has your fitbitFOne synced?

Since we don't have access to your account you might need to contact.support.com
The only thing I can think of that might affect this would possibly manually adding steos.

Can you please check on your online dashboard's profile; under "About Me" the "My Badges" section? Right there, the Africa badge should show for you. It should show something like this:
