Fitbit One no longer Synching again [RESOLVED]

I only sync on my computer (Windows 7 Home Premium), I do not use a phone.

A while ago my Fitbit One stopped syncing (I did all the recommendations of unistall, reinstall, restarting the FitBit numerous times) & it became very frustrating, then suddenly it started syncing automatically (I think FitBit did something) but I could not force the sync.  I have lived with not being able to force the sync for months now & just carried on, but as of yesterday at 16:19 Fitbit stopped syncing automatically again!  Why oh why do I carry on using FitBit, can anyone aswer me lol Smiley Frustrated

Thanks for the confirmation, everyone. It looks like this issue was caused by a release that took place last week, which we have now reverted. The background syncing problem should now be resolved, and you should see your device sync normally again.

Thanks for your patience and communication around this - there were lots of really helpful posts in this thread that facilitated this fix.

If anyone is still having trouble with background sync in particular, please don't hesitate to let me know. If you are having trouble with other types of syncing, please check out this help article.

so, from all the comments, i am not the only one having issues with the fitbit.  has anyone figured out what to do?

Mine has worked well for a few months, but like everyone else it has just stopped syncing again!!!  I think it's when Fitbit do updates and everything stops working.  I keep getting the message that it is synched to another device but it isn't!  Have tried everything - so disappointing - what is the point of having a product that is so inconsistent.  Do fitbit read these posts and take any notice, or are they making so much money they don't care anymore.  What a shame as it is such a good concept, but let down by reliability issues all the time!

Mine one has stopped syncing again for 2 days. Also happened last week.

I also only use a laptop (don't have a smart phone) and as of Monday morning, my Fitbit One has stopped synching.  It's interesting and distressing to see so many people with this issue but I must say I feel a tiny bit better seeing I'm not alone. I too am inclined to think that there is something sytemic going on and that no matter what I do on my end it will just start working again when it starts working again ( when fitbit does something about it).

It's still keeping track of my steps but I wonder how many days' worth of info it keeps if it continues to not sync.

I'm seeing a pattern here. I can see two possibilities - 1) the program no longer supports windows 7 or 2) the Fitbit One was one of the earliest products and the company wants to force us to purchase a later model. No one on this thread has offered a solution. Need to go directly to Fitbit for answers.

I have the same problem with synching. Before I had no problem with resetting it, but two days now and nothing. Does anyone know if the Fitbit sight was hacked?

I just called customer support and with "John's" help got my fitbit synched.  He said he was not aware of a system-wide problem or anything specific to fitbit ones when I told him how many people in this section seemed to be having this problem.  I'm VERY computer UN-savvy and he was able to help me in spite of that. Now I see my steps and sleep since last Monday. I feel back on track again.

My FitbBit One stopped syncing about a week ago.  I have tried to uninstall FitBit Connect and now I can't get it reinstalled as it only comes from the Microsoft Store and for some reason none of my three browsers will download the app to my Windows 10 desktop.  One browser says there is no program associated with the software in the link.

Good thing I can use my phone, but I don't always have bluetooth or location services on.

And that's another thing.  Why must I have location services on to sync????  Why should the FitBit One care where I'm at.  I'm usually in a building anyway and it can't tell where I'm at with no GPS signal.

I have Win 10  and this happened a few months ago and I had to call, and it quit again yesterday.  So many of us it must be a glitch in their system.  The step up has been going for several weeks now hasn't it?

I can sync by phone and then the desktop will update itself  but just that once after I do phone.   Would be nice if a company rep was on here and saw all this.

While scrolling through these posts, I noticed one that said to put the fitbit right next to the dongle, like on it if you can.  I tried that and it synced right away.  I've never had issues before but two days ago it just stopped and refused to sync.  Hopefully the problem is corrected.  BTW, mine works through the computer and I have Windows 7 too.  I hope that's not going to be come an issue!

I'm afraid I don't have an answer - but I have the opposite problem and hope someone can solve both.  I sync my fitbit One only to my computer.  I can force it to sync, but it stopped syncing automatically.  Rebooting didn't help.

I'm having the same issue.  A couple of days ago it quit synching.  Last night I tried resetting it and it didn't help so I uninstalled and reinstalled fitbit connect and did the synch now.  It synched.  It hasn't synched since.  I can't figure out how to do a forced synch.  Tried putting it on the dongle as someone suggested and that didn't do anything.  Don't want to have to uninstall/reinstall every day.  I'm on Windows 7 as well.
