Fitbit One no longer Synching again [RESOLVED]

I only sync on my computer (Windows 7 Home Premium), I do not use a phone.

A while ago my Fitbit One stopped syncing (I did all the recommendations of unistall, reinstall, restarting the FitBit numerous times) & it became very frustrating, then suddenly it started syncing automatically (I think FitBit did something) but I could not force the sync.  I have lived with not being able to force the sync for months now & just carried on, but as of yesterday at 16:19 Fitbit stopped syncing automatically again!  Why oh why do I carry on using FitBit, can anyone aswer me lol Smiley Frustrated

This is obviously a system wide problem considering the number of people who have suddenly had this happened.  My One has been syncing just fine until yesterday, and I did all the stuff - unplugged and replugged the dongle, reset the fitbit, checked for updates, etc.  It still wouldn't sync, and then POOF, suddenly it did.  That was the last time it synced.  Tonight the Fitbit connect app is slow to open, and will either not be able to find my fitbit, or it will say there was an error during syncing.  And that's with my fitbit sitting on top of the dongle.
Somebody did something somewhere and it's affected how my computer sees my fitbit.

I am running Win 7 Home Premium, too.  Never could get the darn thing to sync to my phone.

The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.

Same here: Fitbit One working fine for ages then yesterday it stops syncing automatically.

I can still successfully force a sync (manually "Sync Now") but even after that, it will not continue with automatic syncs.

(Windows 7)

Since this started on Monday for most of us, I would say some upgrade or something happened that screwed it up.   Has anyone tryied to call.  .   I'm doing a live chat with them right now

finally convinced the rep the problem was not mine alone, so it has been passed along to the engineering department.  Now we wait to see if they can fix it.

You can force a sync with the icon.If you click it you have the option
to set up new device or sync now. I can force it to sycn with "sync
now" but sometimes it takes a few tries.

I'm having the same issue.  A couple of days ago it quit synching.  Last night I tried resetting it and it didn't help so I uninstalled and reinstalled fitbit connect and did the synch now.  It synched.  It hasn't synched since.  I can't figure out how to do a forced synch.  Tried putting it on the dongle as someone suggested and that didn't do anything.  Don't want to have to uninstall/reinstall every day.  I'm on Windows 7 as well.

To force sync you click on the Fitbit Icon on your PC. You then have the option to "sycn Now" it may take a few times but even though mine will not sycn automatically I can do a "forced sycn" Hope this works for ya. 🙂

I'm not on a step up challenge, my husbands & mine have both stopped syncing. The last sync was Monday 24th at 1 pm. Frustrating.

Most of this entire week I've had to sync my Fitbit One "manually".  Reading all posts and having gone through weeks of this with Fitbit Technical personnel back in July 2016, I'm convinced it's a Fitbit technical issue and has nothing to do with each individual user.  BTW, with it not syncing automatically, syncing manually doesn't always work the first time.  I just keep clicking on "Retry" until it does sync.

I'm convinced the Fitbit One is now the "step child" of this organization and Fitbit doesn't put enough resources behind keeping it properly working.  That's the only explanation I can come up with that makes sense.

I noticed my Fitbit one wasn't syncing properly at work yesterday and saw that there has been an update for the app and I had updated my iPhone to 10.1 iOS so I was thinking it was either one of those updates.
I deleted and reinstalled the app on my phone but I didn't work then I unpaired my one from the account. Wish I didn't do that because now I can't get it to pair in any device! Not my iPhone, iPad or laptop. It really sucks. Nothing see the one not even the Bluetooth.
Fitbit needs to fix this

Thanks.  I figured it out last night and forced a sync.  This morning I had to force a sync again.  And it hasn't updated since.

Oh good, it's not just me. My One stopped auto syncing 5 days ago. It syncs fine if I have my smart phone on and stops when the phone is off. It will sync when I plug it into the dongle to recharge the battery. I can get a forced sync on my PC, but it will take at least 3 tries with the One sitting on top of the hub with the USB thingy plugged in and sometimes that doesn't work!

I've accepted I will have to have my phone on all the time and force sync before bed and when I wake up.

supposedly it's been sent to engineering.  maybe if everyone would do the live chat in the contact us section or call they'll take it more seriously.  I can sync on my phone but even that is taking longer, and it will update on the desktop but it won't resync on the desktoplater.

I love the live chats, usually there's only a minute of waiting if that and they can do everything right there.  it was so much faster than phone and there's no accent worries aboutnot being able to understand them

My Fit Bit One is not syncing with my Desktop PC (Windows 7). Will only sync with my phone and then my phone syncs with PC.

I read I should be within 20 feet for it to sync with the PC ... I'm only 20 INCHES from the PC.

Funny how it was working just fine until a couple of days ago when I had to recharge my Fitbit, now it doesn't want to sync with my computer.
