Fitbit One no longer Synching again [RESOLVED]

I only sync on my computer (Windows 7 Home Premium), I do not use a phone.

A while ago my Fitbit One stopped syncing (I did all the recommendations of unistall, reinstall, restarting the FitBit numerous times) & it became very frustrating, then suddenly it started syncing automatically (I think FitBit did something) but I could not force the sync.  I have lived with not being able to force the sync for months now & just carried on, but as of yesterday at 16:19 Fitbit stopped syncing automatically again!  Why oh why do I carry on using FitBit, can anyone aswer me lol Smiley Frustrated

THis is the 2nd post I have read like this.  Funny how they stopped syncing at about the same time wo many people started having problems.

I am going to try to unsubscribe or whatever from that Step it up group and see what happens.  It's is so screwed up anyway.  The first day it said I did 3500 steps when I actually did over 7000.  I looked at it the next morning after sleeping for 7 hours, getting breakfast for my parents and my usual morning chores, fitbit showed 1248 steps, Step on it showed 35,000 steps.  I don't do 35,000 steps a week, much less in 2 days.

I'm having the same problem. I have to reset my Fitbit everytime I want to sync it. Pain in the butt. Obviously a problem at their end. I don't want to wear one on my wrist due to a severe arm injury. Oh well...if the site stops working for me, I will withdraw from my groups and manually enter the steps on Weight Watchers.

Hi I'm having the same problem my One is fully charged and working fine but the app will not sync and says it's "looking" despite my One being beside it. I've contacted the help team who recommended updating my app which I have done but it's still not working!! Very frustrating.

My fitbit stopped syncing completely.  So frustrating.  I've gone through all of the steps...No pun intended.

One thing I noticed while searching for an answer as to why my fitbit won't sync with my PC... the troubleshooting "solutions" refer to Windows 8,8.1 and 10. I am still using Windows 7.
I hate the 8's and 10 is a royal pain. I do wish Windows would just leave well enough alone.

What about the rest of you having a problem getting your Fitbits to sync with your computers ... what program are you using?

My fitbit had stopped synching automatically earlier this week, 10/24 or 10/25. I went through all the usual gyrations and it would sync manually sometimes but not automatically. I saw this forum where almost 50 other users were having the same issue and was going to call support this weekend to explain the issue.

Now, magically, my One is syncing automatically again on my computer. I have not checked my phone sync yet. I generally sync on my computer, I am running windows 7 - 64 bit.

I wonder if everyone elses sync issue has resolved as well?

I too could not synch my Fitbit One.  I use the iphone 5s and a mac.  Tried it all.  Then I did a reset on the fit bit.  Plugged it in, held down the button for 12 seconds and then reinstalled it (I had uninstalled it on my phone).  It displayed a number on the fit bit and I entered it. Now working almost perfectly (did not record my active minutes from yesterday).

From all the responses I agree, this is a fit bit problem.  Hope it gets straightened out, but I feel I will have to do these steps again.

OK, it was worth a shot of an explanation. I got an email from the Fitbit support line which gave me the same suggestions the trouble shooting line gives. It also said that it saw that I was able to sync through a Mac last Monday. I replied telling him his info was flawed about last Monday and syncing through a Mac, because I do not own a Mac, there is no Mac of any kind in my home. My smartphone is an Samsung Galaxy 6 (not an Apple product). Also my problem did not start until Wednesday when I re-charged my Fitbit One.
I also informed him there are quite a few of us all having the same problem as of this week. Therefore we have all decided the problem is not with our Fitbits or our devices we sync with Phones/PCs etc... but the problem is at their end and we would all appreciate it if they would fix THEIR problem.

My Fitbit One stopped syncing Monday morning.  I did everything listed, and could not get a sync - not even a forced sync.  I called customer service and the woman I spoke with told me to install the software on my computer (I have Windows 7 and she said it was compatible).  She told me if I had the software on my computer, it would not allow me to download it again.  We were disconnected as I was downloading the software AGAIN on my computer, which already had an older version of the software.  Now I have two versions, and neither version will sync.

Because we were disconnected, I received an email from the woman so I reiterated everything I told her in the call:  this began on Monday, I am not the only one, I now have two versions of Fitbit One on my computer, and I still cannot sync.  I have not yet received a reply.  As much as I have loved having my Fitbit One, if this is not fixed, I am not buying another one.  There are less expensive versions out there that can do the same thing.

If/when I get a reply, I will post.

I was ready to toss mine also. Uninstall one of the fit bits. Then plug
in the "one" and hold the button down for 15 seconds. Then try to
reinstall it, by synching new. It takes a bit of time and a number should
come up that you enter, then it should work no matter what device you are
using.
Good luck.

FWIW, I'm on Windows 7 also (and have been ever since getting my FitBit).

I can sync manually but it hasn't sync'd automatically since Monday.

(Just tested it again to confirm that it has not changed.)

Mine was a birthday gift last January, I never would have bought it for myself.  It is a luxury I could not afford.  So if it continues not to sync, I will simply use it strictly as a step tracker and will not worry about syncing it.  I will manually log in what I eat to keep track of my calories.

I'm "Old" I remember how to do things by hand with paper and pen.  I will not be buying a new one nor am I upgrading my computer to these lousy new Windows programs until I absolutely have to.  Hopefully by then they Window geeks will have developed a program that is easy for oldsters to use.  It would be nice if they just left WIN 7 alone.  I have parents in their late 80s who love their computers and emails but DESPISE Windows 10.  They have Win 7 on their laptop and are very happy with that.

Exactly the same for me ...Have been on Win 7 since I got it and it has worked fine, until I re-charged it on Wednesday.

I have about decided to go to Amazon and downrate the Fitbit One because of this syncing problem. I will give it another week.

Another longtime multiple Fitbit owner....disappointed in Fitbit.  Really regret that we bought an additional Fitbit this year (Charge HR).

My Fitbit One stopped syncing a few days ago.  (After I recharged it fully)  The first day it stopped synching automatically, but I could still do it manually.  Now, no such luck.

I can manually sync the Charge, but it is so innacurate with steps (even when not carrying or pushing or otherwise using that arm), that it's usefulness is limited to sleep and hr.  Waste of $$  Wish I'd bought another brand.

Thanks Fitbit.  Coming up on 5 years of loyalty....thanks for letting us down.
