For the second time in a year I lost my Fitbit One. When I go to replace it, I see the major local stores, Target, Walmart, Best Buy no longer carry it and even on Amazon, only the black model readily available. Is the Fitbit One being discontinued and if so, is it being replaced?

Think the discontinuation of the ONE is awful. Zip is ugly, and I hate wrist based trackers. Guess I'll have to look for another tracker system. Why didn't you ask the community that owns these items which one should be replaced? I really resent that we've all used a product successfully for so many years and you pull the rug out from under us. No customer loyalty.

But it's not being continued--they're discontinuing it. They're telling us to use the ZIP, an ugly little bugger.

Are you sure it isn't being discontinued? It is no longer available to order from Fitbit. I just chatted with a Fitbit representative and was told that it is discontinued.
Very disappointing b/c I LOVE mine and do not want a wrist model. The other clip-on requires battery replacement every 3 - 6 months which is very inconvenient.
Please bring back the Fitbit One!!

Stairs are registered when you have a repetitive movement, probably in the same axis, while you're gaining altitude. So if the road is smooth, or your car absorbs bumps well, then driving may not register any stairs. My motorcycle is generally a rougher ride, which is why I see more stairs recorded after a ride on bumpy roads. That's also why when I'm bicycling with the Fitbit in my leg pocket, there is a constant up/down movement even though the altitude change is very gradual. The One still records that as stairs climbed.

There's another discussion question on the ONE community--and the response from FITBIT is that it IS being discontinued. So annoying--they leave us the ugly ZIP as the alternative. HATE wearing a wrist tracker, and I can't believe they'd be so disloyal to customers by only offering one UGLY alternative for us. Glad you spoke up!!!

I just purchased a Fitbit One (September 2017)...when I ordered it on the website, the response was that it was back-ordered for 3-4 weeks. I did get it within that timeframe...and with no awareness or notification that it is being discontinued. I probably would not have spent the $100 if I'd known that...if they discontinue including the One in the IOS app at some point, my Fitbit One will no longer be useful for me.
However, my research has not led me to an alternative tracker that I find acceptable. I cannot wear a tracker on my wrist (because of lymphedema/swelling), and I want a tracker that includes sleep tracking. I am hoping that if Fitbit is not going to make the Fitbit One available, they will at least still offer a clip-on tracker that includes sleep tracking. BTW, I also link my tracker with sparkpeople.com, and I would limit my search for a new tracker to the ones that can be linked to SP.

Thanks, called the number and complained about the One being discontinued. Everyone should call them and complain - then maybe they will realize the error of their ways ... or provide a better full featured clip style replacement ... who knows, may be a "Two" ?

I am very disappointed that the FitBit One is discontinued and with no equivalent replacement. The Zip does half of what the One did...literally. I don't wear a watch and I don't want to wear a watch. If the Zip did what the One did, I'd think about it. But it does not. It is a "lesser' product. I won't be buying a new Fitbit.

Though Fitbit One is a popular product, we are always working to streamline our offerings as we introduce new products, which are coming later this year. Fitbit One will be removed from Fitbit.com and some retail partners over the next few months.
If you’re looking for a new tracker, we recommend considering the other discreet options we offer—Fitbit Zip if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. You can learn more about these trackers plus the rest of the Fitbit family of products at https://www.fitbit.com/compare.
Please note that we will continue to support the One, even when it is no longer available, and provide troubleshoots and replacements for devices in warranty. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

This totally sucks. Don't have anything better to say. The ZIP is a zero.

Kate,
I appreciate your response. It just does not work for many of the people replying to this post. I believe Fitbit is making a big mistake and having a number of your loyal customers who have purchased multiple devices and who have been loyal Fitbit customers now looking at your competitors. You have also opened up a hole in your product line-up that one of your competitors may decide to fill.
Companies make choices and Fitbit as many other companies will make choices. I believe Fitbit has made some bad assumptions on this decision. As my 401K funds include Vanguard equities, and Vanguard funds are major holders of Fitbit stock, I am raising my concerns with Fitbit being part of that portfolio.
I know your senior VP of marketing comes from the video game industry. I hope he realizes the differences in the customer base and what the clientele of Fitbit looks for versus the industry he knows.
I hope your Chairman looks back at those elements that made Fitbit great and makes decisions based on what has proven to work for him. By discontinuing the One, you believe you are driving us to choose between a totally unacceptable Zip or a wrist device. The reality is few will make one of those two choices while the rest will either choose no device or a competitors device. I believe Fitbit looses.

Dear KateFitbit..... is anyone at Fitbit reading ANY of these comments about the One being discontinued? I have gotten a few emails with the same canned response (similar to what is here). People are shouting from the rooftops the Zip is an inferior product and MOST will not wear a wrist device. So is it that Fitbit doesn't care what a lot of their loyal One wearers have to say? Can someone from Fitbit address why the One was chosen to be discontinued, and IF a similar device will ever be available?
