My one is about 4 years old, and will not come on or charge. Is the battery replaceable?

No, unfortunately not. Four years! Wow, that's pretty good.
So I am just curious -- if it turns out that you need a new tracker, which one will you be you aiming for?

No that is not pretty good. It's beyond me how a consumer would be OK with this.
The electronic components have a 100+ lifespan (for the EEPROM). To accept a 4 year lifetime, FitBit buyers must have recieved it as a gift, or be unaware of its problems, or just have really low standards. FitBit must believe that we are so conditioned to disposable devices that it's OK to load landfills with otherwise workable devices.
Well I don't intend to buy a second one unless FitBit allows battery changes and actually delivers on their promised bug fixes (Hearbleed bug still a problem 2 years later).
