I am trying to figure out if I need to log activity other than walking, i.e. elliptical, running on MFP or let the Fitbit handle it? I want to get the most accurate data. I've read posts about turning on the timer and am confused about this function. Please help!

I had fitbit challenge yesterday and had about 118000 steps and now today shows only about 109000 steps.   I lost about 9000 steps.   That's why I quit the challenge yesterday.

Hi @sammasa and welcome to the Community.

Where did you see the 118000 step count yesterday? Was this on your Fitbit One display per se or on your phone/gps app? If the latter, once sync'd, the actual number of steps recorded by your Fitbit One tracker would override what the phone tracked; and from my experience, when it comes to step count (not distance), the Fitbit One tracker will outperform any phone/gps data.

Cheers!
