More Sync Problems

It seems that the latest app upgrade posted last week has caused all sorts of sync problems. I have tried everything up to and including deleting and reinstalling the app and deleting the One from my account and re-adding it. I also tried resetting my One after deleting the bluetooth pairing. All to no avail.

The blue sync line starts in from the left but stops at about 10%. No data is being sync'd. I have also tried on my pc and that has the same problem.

Come on Fitbit. Fix the app.

When going to fitbit.com dashboard, the sync option is grayed out to where you can't sync. So since I am unable to download the Windows 10 app on mom's computer since it is not compatible and I have tried many way and many times and gave up and now can't sync using the dashboard.

Since she has no smartphone, I have to come over to her house, 5 miles away, and she has to sign into my phone app and sync. That will get old very fast as she likes to keep up and do printouts of her weekly reports, etc. She just bought a new Fitbit to replace the other she had for over 2 years and she is 80 years old so adapting to change doesn't go very well.

Please fix the Dashboard to sync or get the desktop app to be compatible with Windows 10.

Thanks.

Same issue here....can't get my phone or computer to sync with my fit bit one

Best Answer

The app on my desktop, Windows 10 and my iphone are both working correctly. My Fitbit One has the correct time now. After deleting the old app and reloading the latest app update I needed to restart my computer for the update to work. I hope things continue to work for me and hope it resolves everyone else's problems also.

If you figure it out, would you mind posting back here so I'll know how to fix it? Thanks.

Or is there a phone number that we can call Fibit tech dept?

The thing is I've never been able to get mom's Windows 10 computer to work with Fitbit app so I have nothing to delete and reinstall. It won't work at all.

Prior to syncing messing up now, she used to go to fitbit.com and log in and manually click on the sync button. Now she can't even use that. That option is now grayed out. I went over this morning and logged in as her on my phone app and had to sync her that way...but I'm not always around her. I guess I'll just have to buy her an old cheap smartphone that works wirelessly just so she can sync. She's 80 so that should be interesting.

I did everything you did and still no luck

I wish someone from Fitbit would come in this thread and help or at least provide a phone number for support.

It's upsetting to pay for a Fitbit One. These things aren't cheap and then not be able to sync them anymore. I'd hate to think I'd need to buy my 80 year old mom a smartphone just so she can sync. That would be crazy. She should be able to sync on her computer. Fitbit needs to fix this.

If your mom has Windows 10 installed on her computer go to the Windows store en download the fitbit-app. Make an account and folow the instructions to sync with the app. There is a dashboard in the app too.

No Moderater wil still react on this thread. The main problem ( a bug in the last version of the app)  is solved  by an update and the topic is closed (see flag post). Go to the help-site Fitbit or start a new topic.

I tried talking to them yesterday and kept linking to people having the same issues starting the same day. They would not even entertain the idea that it could be a software issue. By the end of the chat I was so frustrated I plan on moving from Fitbit after about six years.

I didn't want a new/free Fitbit (which I assumed they thought) I wanted them to admit/acknowledge there was a problem with the software. Instead they kept saying it was the device, even after showing them the posts in here where people only had their Fitbits a few months having the same exact issue.

I did get a 25% off code but the entire interaction left me really not liking the company anymore. They also gave me Premium for the frustration but I told them to take it back because it is pointless if the Fitbit isn't working.

I actually had a back-up one (old, battery barely holds) that seems to work just fine. I am afraid to plug it in and have it get an update and not work, but until I pick a new device I am hoping it holds out.

Make sure you have the latest version of the Fitbit app from the windows store then delete and re-install your Fitbit device. Worked for me after about a week of list data.

It is important that you have the very latest app released only a few days ago. I deleted the app, restarted the phone/pc then installed the app fresh from the store. Once I re-connected the ONE, syncing worked fine.
It is disappointing that Fitbit released an app version without adequate testing, but all seems ok again now.

I just finally got my windows 10 app to sync to my one...Uninstalled the app. Made sure I disconnected my one from my phone...Restarted my PC. Then did a ccleaner and registry repair on my PC. Reinstalled the app. Signed in... and SYNCED!!! YAY!!! I had tried uninstalling/reinstalling before, but hadn't done the ccleaner etc. I think that did the trick. Just happy to get my PC to sync my fitbit. I like that it syncs my fitbit when I walk in the house and saves my phone battery. 🙂

I have found for myself as another poster did that Windows 10 could be the real problem. On my ipad I  deleted it and reloaded it and now it is all good. On my computer it will only sync once and that is around the 1-2 oclock time. I decided to just live with it as it syncs like it should on the ipad. My conclusion for me is that it is windows 10, not Fitbit. Cheers everyone !

They did the same to me as far as a 25% coupon goes. But I do believe now it is my windows 10 as my dashboard there doesn't sync but my ipad does, and that is after I deleted it and reloaded it on the ipad, will try to do that on laptop as well. Since windows 10 has been around it has been a headache for me..I believe that it is a microsoft problem after all the weirdness I have had these past weeks. I am glad it is not my fitbit..Good luck everyone!
