My One hasn't synced in three days. It says it is looking for it. Any ideas to help me? I have the iphone 6s.

Thanks for any help you can.

An update. After giving up on ever using my One ever again, a light bulb went on over my head. I unplugged the dongle from my laptop, and uninstalled the Fitbit app. Reloaded the app on my android, and, Voila! Everything works fine. So, either something got corrupted on my laptop, or the major Windows upgrades in November and December decided to mess with it. Which also seems to correspond with the sync problems. Who knows, but I can live with it just using the phone. That it's working is what counts. Now we'll see for how long.

Mine quit syncing shortly after firmware upgrade. It still logs, but won't sync.I have tried all the suggestions. No luck. The clock on the One is now wrong as well - 7 hours behind the actual time. My One has worked flawlessly for almost 2 years, now this.

If you are trying to sync with myfitness pal, it's not a fitbit problem.  myfitnesspal had a major failure this past weekend.  They are working on solving the issue.

No, I am not using myfitness pal. The  problem I have been having has been going on since early Nov. It started by saying that my One was connected through another device, and it wouldn't update. Then it began shutting off for no reason. Finally, it just told me that it could not update One, because it was connected to another device. I had a dongle connected to my laptop, and is what I was using to connect. I uninstalled all other devices I had connected to my One, still the same problem. I even tried putting it in rice, just to make sure it hadn't gotten wet. Finally, it would not update at all, so I put it in the drawer, figuring it was history. Then I got a brainstorm and took the dongle off the laptop and uninstalled the Fitbit app. I reloaded the app on my phone, and now everything is OK. Windows just did two major updates to10, one in November, and then one a week or so ago. So, who knows? But, for now, it is working and I am once again a happy camper. Thanks for your suggestion, though. I was about ready to try anything!

I finally got my One working! A light bulb went on over my head, and I removed the dongle from my laptop, uninstalled the app, and then reinstalled the app on my android. Everything has been working fine since. Windows did two major updates, one in November and another in December. Both sort of around the time my One started messing up, and then becoming completely unusable. Mine had also been flawless for almost 2 years. Maybe something like what I did can help you. Best wishes

I have not been able to get my One to sync for 2 days. All updates are complete. I have reset my device by holding down the button for 12-20 seconds while plugged in and I have reinstalled the app. My battery is fully charged but the app shows it in the yellow.  That means that it is just not connecting. I am very frustrated. I have turned Bluetooth on and off but it is not detecting. Any other suggestions besides throwing it against the wall?

I'm having the same problem with my One, starting last night. Just ran IOS update 11.2.1 this morning, then rebooted both my One and my iPhone. Also tried deleting the Fitbit app and then downloading again. Still looks like the app can't find my device.

After I posted this I tried plugging it in one more time to try again,
about the 5th time! It finally worked. Plug it in, hold down the button
form like 20 seconds, unplug and then push the button till it starts back
up. I also, turned Bluetooth off and on, deleted the app and then
reinstalled it. I hope this works for you!

Been there, almost done that, as well. I have had mine for about 2 years, and it always worked flawlessly. It came with a dongle, which I dutifully inserted into an open port on my laptop, downloaded the app on the laptop, my tablet and my android phone. Life was good. Up until this past Nov. when it started notifying me that it couldn't connect, because it was connected to another device. After a while, it would connect, and all was good, again. It continued to worsen, began shutting down, requiring me to restart it. I got on the forum and tried all the tricks. Still, same results. By now it was Dec., and I was ready to throw mine against the wall, too. Instead, I just put it into the dreaded Drawer of Dead Electronics, thinking that it was now history. Blame it on Fitbit, and it's unwillingness to maintain a tracker that they no longer make (grrr - what a mistake, in my mind). And then it came to me like a bolt out of the blue! Windows had been doing some major updates to Windows 10 in Nov. and Dec. So, I removed the dongle from my laptop, uninstalled the app, and reinstalled the Fitbit app onto my android. I dug the One from the dreaded drawer, and it was on and running! With no assistance from me!!! It has been working fine since. So, in my case, it may have been the Windows updates that did the Fitbit system after all, and not Fitbit's negligence towards it now-orphaned One tracker. I no longer operate it on my laptop, which is no great loss. And it works, which is what counts. So, if you try something along these lines, you may get it working aain, too. Good luck.

Do you have the One connected to any other devices, other than your iPhone? If so, try removing it. I also put my Fitbit into the dreaded Drawer of Dead Electronics, where it sat for a week or so. It was at that point that I went back and removed the dongle and uninstalled the app from my laptop, and reinstalled the app on my android phone. It has been working fine since, and even finding my One faster than it was ever found on my laptop. At any rate, it seems that persevering pays off, even if we don't know what we are doing (remember, I put my One into a bowl of rice, hoping that maybe it got wet, unbeknownst to me). Removing it from whatever device you originally set it up on may be the clue. Good luck. I know how great this little tracker is, and how sorely it is missed when it doesn't work. How dependent we get to these little devices! Almost better than pets...

Not  been able to sync since 26th September . I have tried all of the above numerous times. I don't  want a tracker that goes on my  wrist. The flex 2 doesn't do what  I need. I am so angry. I only got my fitbit one September 2016

Mine finally started syncing after MyFitnessPal fixed their problem. I had a sync problem a couple weeks ago - it was just ‘looking’. After removing the device, uninstalling the app, closing all apps running in the background, rebooting my phone, and reinstalling Fitbit App then adding the device back fixed the ‘looking’ issue. Hopefully my One will continue to work & sync because I don’t want to wear a wrist design either.

Yes I tried that too. I finally found that it was not a Fitbit problem. It was a MyFitnessPal problem. Once they fixed the issue all started working & syncing correctly.
