One Availability and Alternatives

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Though Fitbit One is a popular product, as we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools.

As a result, we no longer sell the One. We recommend considering the other discreet options we offer- Fitbit Zip, if you prefer a clip-based tracker or Fitbit Flex 2 if you prefer a slim, wrist-based tracker. Or, take our quiz on http://www.fitbit.com/compare to see which device meets your needs best.

Please note that we will continue to support the One and, if necessary, provide replacements for devices in warranty.

We do know there are many fans of the One who would like to discuss alternatives and have created this thread for discussion and merged a few posts together. Please keep in mind Community Guidelines when posting.

At this time, feedback has been shared on the One status and there are no plans to bring this particular tracker back at this time, we will not be able to comment further.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope we can continue to provide you with Fitbit trackers you love and help you reach your goals.

Fitbit company just doesn't get it.

It is so strange to me.  When I was in college, studying Business and Economics, one of the things I remember most is that if one customer takes the time to write a complaint to a company/business, there are probably 20-30 more who just leave the customer base and never say anything.  So, that means, possibly 20,000 to 30,000 FitBit One customers may leave Fitbit.  Does that really make business sense?  Guess they are so profitable that they don't need that many customers.

I know. I took 1 management class and learned that much and never forgot it
in all my jobs since. They must not teach that any more, and the focus is
all on immediate profits, not long term customer base

Evidently you are right. I am going to continue my search for a good clip
on alternative. Right now I am checking out the Misfit Shine it can be worn
as a clip on, a pendant, on the wrist or on the shoe. I have to find out if
it is compatible with my fitness pal which is great for keeping up with
carbs since I am a diabetic.

Hi Chris,
What device do you have?

abigdogmom - Garmin Vivofit 3 - wrist or clip on, Garmin app uses MyFitnessPal.

As always, good luck to all of us that love our one.

Yes, my fitness pal linking is crucial for me too. Fitbit entry system is
way too cumbersome.

So did I, but I have a touch of chemo brain, and I wasn't sure what it all meant. Thanks for your patience.

Stock crashing, less trackers being sold, bragging about new model. They
never marketed the one, kike they should have, towards people who can't or
won't wear a wrist device. Such poor marketing. With declining sales, they
shouldn't be discontinuing anything! Why lose even 1 customer?

FIT stock (NYSE) is up 1.15% today. That being said, 1.15% is only $0.05
for Fitbit.

But they were up.

Maybe if they listened to their long standing customers instead of pissing
us off, it would be better! 😉

I am so disappointed with the discontinuance of the Fitbit One.

I have owned Fitbit Ones for over 5 years and surprised Fitbit won’t  offer a viable alternative.

As stated by others not everyone wants to wear something on their wrist and the only clip on device that Fitbit offers lacks many of the features of the Fitbit One.

Fitbit, please come up with a new clip on device that has at least the same features as the One

I started with the ultra after it broke (sat on it) I took over my daughters One in 2014 when she no longer wanted it.  I have been using it since but it has now quit for good I fear, no luck after being on the charger for 24hrs.  I think something must have shorted out as it was acting weird with strange displays and buzzes for a week.  I have been with fitbit since 2012 but likely will be no longer.

Let's start a list of reasons why we want a fully functional clip on and not one to wear on our wrist.  I am starting with a post from a little earlier, then adding my own reasons:

1.  Our Veteran population with hand injuries,

2.  The amputee community.

3.  the nursing home residents, etc--they just cannot wear a wristband unit.

4.  Ballroom Dancers (arms are very still)

5.  Bike riders

6.  Mothers pushing baby carriage

7.  Shoppers pushing cart of merchandise.

8.  Students carrying books.
