Hi
today is the first day i've used my fitbit One and it will no longer turn on after counting merely 1300 steps for me. i've tried the cleaning of the gold line ups and the reset procedure (12 second hold down, etc, etc) and it still won't turn on. all i get is the fitbit 660 and full battery bar. it won't turn on but synced my last bit of steps? i'm confused.

Welcome aboard to our Community @Jhock. This is very odd my friend but my first recommendation is to try with a Restart. If you need the steps for a restart there is a post shared by my good friend @MarreFitbit that might be of your help.
Is probably that your tracker have fail during the firmware update; my gues is based on what you described, but doing a restart should restore your tracker to work as it should.
Let me know how it goes, I'll be here to help you.

It took a few days and the tracker reset worked after about 45 times. It stopped working again last night. I've used the reset steps again about 14 times this morning. i'm hoping I don't have to do this 45 times again.

Hi there @Jhock. Indeed these are many restarts to resolved the issue. Depending on how it goes I would recommend to set up your tracker as a new device again on your existing account. The process is similar when you initially set up your tracker only than this time choose that you have already an account.
- From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap Account at the top.
- Tap Set Up a New Fitbit Device.
- Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.
Keep me updated how this issue goes, I'll be here giving follow up to your post.

It is still not working after i set it up as a new device. I get the fitbit 6.60 after holding it for 12 seconds and then I take it out of the computer connector dongle and hold the button for 2-3 minutes and it still doesn't work. I'm just bummed because my sister got it for me as a gift so we could have step competitions while she lives in NM.

Hi @Jhock, it seem we have exhausted all the possible solutions here, at this point I don't know if you already do, but my recommendation is to contact customer support team for additional help. I'm confident they'll be able to indicate the next step after review your device history with you. Optionally you can also check out Returns & Warranty for more information.
Keep me posted how it goes, I'll be near giving follow up.
