I've had my Fitbit for 4 or 5 years so I thought it was just getting old, but seeing all these posts, maybe it is just the upgrade. I don't want to lose this Fitbit. It has held a charge for 2 weeks, or at least over 1 week since I got it. Now it only lasts 1 day.

Have all of you done the latest update?
Have you gone into your settings, in the App, to turn OFF the All Day Synch?
You might find this helpful.
Mine is Charging right now. I will know by Saturday if all that has worked.

Updated to 2.40 after seeing the post about it being released. So far, so good. Holding battery levels. Have not turned All Day Sync back on yet. Will report results - last charge was on Monday evening and still full.

There's an update to the Fitbit app (version 2.40) in the iPhone app store
as of a few hours ago that that has "bug fixes and performance
improvements". Hopefully it addresses this issue!Downloaded and installed @AlJB. I turned off "all day sync" in version 2.39 to get back to 5+ day battery life compared to the less than two days with all day sync on. I was two days into my second test of that setup when 2.40 came out yesterday and still had a full battery according to the app. Turned all day sync back on now that I've installed 2.40 and will see how it goes.
I do hope this fixes the problem but I know a lot of developers are busy updating their apps to work with the new iOS 11 that is coming out soon -- maybe even today (I updated over 20 apps yesterday!). I expect we will all be seeing a few new bugs in iOS apps for a while.
Hmm ... I don't think it helped. Just got a low battery warning at 11 am (Sept 13). I installed the new version of the iOS app at 6 pm on Sept. 11, and turned off "all day sync." At the time I installed the update, the app reported my One battery as full, but it came off the charger a day before the update. I'll charge it fully tonight and leave on 'all day sync' for another charge cycle just to be sure, but I suspect I'll have to turn all day sync back off in order to prevent the rapid battery drain.

Just an update, we are still working on this issue. Thanks to those who suggested turning off all day sync as a workaround. I will update the status next week. Thanks as always for your patience.

Version 2.40 of the iOS app did not fix the battery issue for me. I charged the One fully after installing the update and turning back on All-Day Sync on Monday, September 11th at 15:00. Tonight, Wednesday the 13th at 20:00, my battery is low and in the red requiring charging.
Even with ADS on, the Fitbit was not syncing until I opened the app. I can tell it wasn't syncing by looking at the web site which showed an update only from first thing this morning.
Fitbit has more work to do on this issue.
I'm turning All-Day Sync back off until the next app update.

Just another user to add to the list. My Fitbit has lasted at least 2 weeks without charging and now it's 3-4 days if that before it's on red. My useage is exactly the same.

I did that; I charged a week ago yesterday, and it's still showing a third .... I'm thinking it might be back to normal.

Unfortunately mine is down to red after a full charge Tuesday after following all the advice given by FitBit (turn off all day sync, restart 3 times). There was a post from FitBit saying the update was not meant to fix the problem. They are still working on it since August 10 ! Ridiculous! I did get a replacement and will set it up, but I'm not hopeful 😞

OK, I said I would do a followup post today.
I charged my Fitbit overnight on Tuesday.
All day synch is no OFF.
It is now Friday and I just plugged it in....low and behold......it still has a full charge.
The upgrade was a fix for me.

Mine does not. As you say, the one seems to keep searching, without any resolution. Still a dud here.

Hoping you can help!!! I LOVE my fitbit One - I've been so happy with it for 3(?) years - it's my 2nd one! Just this week, it simply stopped working - won't hold a charge. I tried gentle cleaning the contacts with alcohol - still nothing. I'm bummed because I'm going on a hiking vacation tomorrow without my "constant companion". Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
