The time should reset whenever you sync. Is your One syncing ok?
The other thing to check is that your timezone is set correctly in your profile settings at https://www.fitbit.com/settings/profile
Best Answerno it does not sync any more. I called the fitbit help desk and found out my Micorosoft 7 is no longer compatiable. I was told to set up on my Iphone but evidently my I phone 6 is not good enough either. Am about to give up on fitbit and go to Polar that is reported to be more reliable anyway

You got some strange advice - both Win 7 and the iPhone 6 are supported.
If you're prepared to give it another go then I would try restarting your One using this procedure:

Give it a few tries as it doesn't always work. Hopefully this will get it syncing again.
