I visited a physio for help with an ankle movement problem. She said I lope along and should shorten my stride considerably. Anyone have any good tips for achieving a short crisp stride?

@parritch It's great to have you aboard in our Fitbit Community! Your ankle movement shouldn't be a problem if you adjust your stride length on your Dashboard. This way your Fitbit tracker should track your distance accurately. Regarding your question, don't force your feet to achieve another stride length since you may get injured. By correcting the stride length as explained above should help you to get more accurate readings.

@parritch Here are a couple tips for correcting your running mechanics
-- Do practice drills where you increase your cadence. If you take more steps per minute, you will decrease your stride length.
-- When you run, think about landing with your foot underneath you not out in front of you. This helped me the most.
-- Shorten your arm swing. You might unconsciously shorten your stride length.
