32000 steps logged while sleeping?!

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This morning my fitbit logged 32000 steps at 06.45am before I got up. It also logged me sleeping until 07.00am, though the sleep breakdown shows awake for the last 15mins.

I have tried logging 10 minutes of driving from 06.40 based on other recommendations but the step count is still there.

Is there anything else I can do to get rid of it?!

To prevent in future, remove MobileTrack as Fitbit device.

I've done that  but how has that caused it? My mobile was on the side table, so not moving.

How? nobody knows, and not sure that is it.  But when people get tens of thousands of steps suddenly added, it usually seems that they had MobileTrack as a device, often without even realizing it.  If you intentionally have it and use it, it might not be worth getting rid of.  I was just thinking of many people who don't even know they have it.  Again, no idea of how or why, but they seem to be connected.

And that's nothing official from Fitbit - mostly just my observation so feel free to give as little credence as you choose.
