All day sync won't switch on

Thought all was going well, had the device 2 1/2 weeks and now the all day sync doesn't work

The heart rate on the app only shows my resting heart rate since this has happened, could this be something to do with the recent ios update on my phone?

I have reset the phone and the charge 3 several times but its still wont let me switch on the all day sync, I can slide the switch across but just get the spinning icon??

I found someone’s solution.

On phone, go to settings, bluetooth, forget this device.

Then in FitBit app, turn on All-day Sync, let it ask to pair, let it pair.

It worked first try!

Thanks for stopping by @SunsetRunner! The live heart rate data is related to the All-Day Sync function. You can see live heart rate data by making sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device. In the Fitbit apps for iOS and Windows 10, also make sure all-day sync is turned on.

Let's try the following steps:

  • Make sure that your Fitbit app is running version 2.82
  • Log out of your Fitbit app
  • Force quit the app
  • Restart your Charge 3
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit app

Give this a go and let me know if after those steps you're able to turn All-Day Sync on. I'll be around!

I noticed when I did this that it would work for a few hours or the day. I was continually going into my settings and “forgetting device.”

Feeling frustrated I removed all other things in my Bluetooth settings like my old charge 2 and my car.

It has stayed synced since!

Thank you so much, @Jazzle49! My Fitbit had been working with All Day Sync for a long time, but suddenly stopped working.  I've tried all of the recommended syncing fixes and had a frustrating exchange via Twitter DM with support, but this solution actually fixed the problem after I rebooted phone and app.

I have done this several times but I'm still having trouble with the All day sync. Sometimes it will go off when I get a text message or a phone call but most of the time it doesn't. I check the app and it says it's been hours since the last sync. I try to sync it and it just spins and says it's been scheduled to sync but then it goes right back to showing me how long ago the last sync was. I've unpaired and restarted and reset several times already. I checked to make sure that the Fitbit app was up to date as well. I've only had this Alta HR for over a year now. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

When asking about a phone issue, as with all day sync, we really need to know the type of phone.
