Auto track doesnt work

Hi,

sometimes the auto tracking is not working on my charge 2. By exemple, i did a 2 hours intense hiking today and it didnt show in my activity. When i added it manually (using the log option) it removed some of the steps (i was above 18000 and was at 17000 after) and also it removed all the activity minutes from the dashboard. I tried resetting the watch a few weeks ago but the issue remains. Please help

If you delete the activity you manually logged, you will get your steps and active minutes back, but not that it is recorded as an exercise session.

To avoid issues with auto-tracking, I prefer to use the exercise app, starting and s toppin the workout myself to be sure I get the full time, and calling it what I want, not just hoping Fitbit recognizes it correctly.

For how to use exercise app, see:

How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
