When I manually start an exercise I needed to end automatically when it detects I am no longer exercising. If I manually start a cycling exercise and I have not moved for 5 minutes, then I should be prompted to end the exercise. If I'm doing a workout at home, and it detects that my heart rate is lower than my exercise range for more than 5 minutes, then it should prompt me to end the workout. This should be applied to all exercises that are manually started. I have been frustrated on numerous occasions with my tracker battery draining because I forgot to stop the exercise. I see this problem was first reported over 2 years ago and yet it still exists. I am extremely disappointed in Fitbit and Google for leaving this gaping hole in its feature set. This should be a no-brainer. When will the charge 5 and other devices be updated with this feature?

@MichaelJO I hope that you have voted for and left a comment on any Feature Request that asks for this. User interest is taken into consideration to get a request from Reviewed by Moderator to Under Consideration. I see you believe that this is a no-brainer. But when it comes to writing code, this is a big-brainer. I asked a software engineer. I think its implementation is a long shot.
In the meantime, you should set a time goal whenever you start a workout. You will get a vibration reminder half way through and another when you have reached your time goal.
