Battery icon won't go away

How do I get the battery symbol off my fitbit. I left it charging for over a week because I forgot about it. Now will only show battery symbol.

I’ve done this and the battery icon still appears first and shows that is still charging at 75%.  What should I do???  I’ve done everything and no success at all.

I don't know of any other things to try so I suggest trying the restart a couple more times and if that doesn't work then contact customer support via contact.fitbit.com

Step1. Plug your fitbit device to charger. 

Step2. Press the restart button on your Fitbit device for 4-8 seconds.  It will reboot your device.
