Battery not lasting

I haven't used my Fitbit for a few months so the battery was completely flat. Since using it again it is only lasting for half a day, despite charging every evening. I've turned off the notifications and have rebooted it. Any other suggestions, as half a day isn't practical

Mine is on an 18 months run and fine regarding battery life. Have you updated to the latest firmware of the device? You do that connecting the Charge 3 to the charger - let it charge to something like full. On your phone - open the fitbit app. Tap the download update (top right). Place the phone close to the Charge 3 charging to update. It takes roughly 30 minutes.

I have also done the update once, but this hasn't helped unfortunately.
