I haven’t used my Fitbit Charge since 2016, and that was the last time it synced to my phone app. I charged it and tried to update it though the phone app but it errors out. Any suggestions?

Hi @WallMom have you tried restarting it? In case you need a refresher on your Charge, here is the link for the Charge area where you can find the user manual and related articles - click to go there

Another thing to consider. When these batteries are not charged for long periods of time. The battery drains and can not be charged. I suspect that what has happened to you 4 years not using or charging its toast. Sorry

You say it errors out, well errors generally point to the problem and often we know the solution. However without knowing the reported error, we can only guess.
