Blood Pressure Log

I'm surprised that an app that has so many great features is missing one critical component of fitness.  A blood pressure log.  It couldn't be that difficult to add a space to manually log that information.  Is fitbit only supposed to be for the young who don't have to worry about those things or is a device for everyone?  Baby boomers want to stay healthy too and healthy blood pressure is critical.

I may have to look at other fitness trackers if they have that feature.

I agree it should be easy to add it back, and as far as simplicity it should be in the background on the app just like all the other workout items you don't use. It doesn't need to connect to the actual fitbit, just an option on the app in my opinion. I use the app for when I go to the Dr so they can see my diet, weights, HE, sleep, exercise and so on.

Fitbit used to have the ability to manually log blood pressure along with other body measurements but this was removed some while back as it wasn't used by many and they wanted to simplify things.

If it is important to you to have this ability within a tracker's dashboard then you may do best to look for an alternative tracker.

Is there another tracker you would recommend?

I can't as I have only used fitbits. Hopefully others will offer some suggestions.

Garmin makes products that you can swim with. I'm looking into one for a relative that does triathlons. However, it might record Blood Pressure too. Worth changing for me. Instead of upgrade to better Fitbit.

I agree, that is a great idea. I'd certainly be happy with that.

I did use the blood pressure logging option when it was on the Fitbit dashboard. I miss it incredibly. I agree with everyone why did Fitbit take it out in the first place? It is such an essential part of your health. Shame on you Fitbit

I already have the Fitbit Charge2; I don't want to seek out some other product, especially when it shouldn't be too hard to put it back in. It might make sense to have it as some sort of special tracking option that would not appear on the dashboard unless the user specifically enabled it. I certainly don't want to use some additional app for tracking BP when it would be much more convenient to have all grouped together.

Nearly 1/3 of Americans have high blood pressure.  Exercise and diet is key to lowering it.  I went from stage two high blood pressure with three medications to normal blood pressure and no medication.  I track diet and exercise with Fitbit, help us track our blood pressure!

Maybe an admin could move this to the "feature suggestions" forum.

Great idea!

Totally agree! This ability should be reinstated. But sadly it would appear Fitbit aren't listening; possibly too embarrassed about admitting it was a mistake to have pulled it.

My solution was to go with the Samsung Gear line of watches. I am on my 2nd Samsung watch since I wrote re Blood Pressure Log.
Too bad. I liked my FitBit with the larger screen.

Yeah it's unfortunate I even tried calling the main office but got a tech who swore he didn't know what I was talking about that it never had that feature.I talked slow and in small words that it was only a feature on the dashboard not a feature of the watch. So I will do like you and just spend my money elsewhere thanks for nothing Fitbit.

Omron has come out with a wearable blood pressure monitor that has many of the features of Fitbit.

Fitbit needs to catch up…

Bit should allow feeds from existing BP online providers.
