Hi. I bought a second hand Fitbit charge 2 tonight and have Successfully managed to sync it to my Fitbit account, however, for the life of me I can’t get it to forget all the other ladies activity who I bought it from. It still has all her steps etc and I’m baffled because my Fitbit account is showing that I’ve done 17,000 steps today and I’ve literally just bought it so I definitely haven’t. I don’t want false data on my app. When all the data gets reset at midnight like they all do, that ladies data will still be stored on my account as activity that I haven’t actually done. Can someone tell me how I can reset the watch back to its original factory settings please? Help isn’t GREATLY appreciated before I turn into a mad woman!

Previous owner must have steps on it that had not been synced yet. Once they sync, they are off the tracker into the database. The best way to get rid of it is via 2 accounts. If you have already synced, create another account/email as your true account and use that. However, if you had previous fitbit from another tracker that you want to keep, or you just don't want another account, here's how you can negate the steps.

Thank you! I’ve done al of the above and it has worked so far. Will just wait until the watch restarts at 12:00 again for tomorrow to read my new data 🙂
