Thanks for keeping me posted @Pkpsmall! I'd recommend disable the notifications and re-enable them. If you're interested in calendar notifications, note that most trackers can only display them if they're sent from the default iOS Calendar app. If your third-party calendar app syncs with the default you won't notice a limitation. Only Blaze lets you choose a third-party calendar app directly.
Here are the steps:
Let me know the outcome!

Thanks for the update! I'd recommend doing what I've suggested in my previous post, but before attempting them I'd try disabling your notifications. Once you've done that and also you've followed the steps try enabling your calendar notifications to see if this does the trick.
Keep me posted @Pkpsmall!

Same issue here. iPhone SE Fitbit charge 2 - all software up to date. I have a recurring event in the calendar app starting every day at 5pm, ending 00:00.
Observation: If I disable Bluetooth during the event and re-enable it, I get a reminder on my Charge 2.
This happens EVERY time.
I assume that the recurring notifications are caused by loosing Bluetooth connection. After connection is reestablished you get notified of all current events.
This could for example happen if the tracker is too far away from the phone.
If you disable iOS calendar notifications then you don't receive the notifications on the tracker.
Result: this behavior is caused by the iOS calendar and is not a Fitbit issue!
Workaround:
Keep tracker and phone nearby and always connected:)

It is now 2018 and this issue has still not been resolved by Fitbit. I see the topic pop up on many Fitbit products' boards. I think the only solution is to just turn off the calendar notifications. That is a hassle because if it worked the way it should, it's a nifty feature to have. I'll keep an eye out for a solution, but in the interim I will just turn it off. Or, dare I say it, is it time to switch to Apple Watch?

This issue started happening for me last Saturday...a week later it is driving me nuts. Often I get the notification after the event and repeatedly after that. Just now I was notified 3 times in 5 minutes of an event that had happened 5 hours ago....

This is happening with my Charge 2 as well, but has only started doing this fairly recently (within the last month), and it only happens, oddly enough, when I have my gym class scheduled on the calendar, and then it continues to go off on my fitbit about 4 to 5 times DURING my class.

We did all these things and even deleted the event from the calendar and i was STILL getting notifications. Sometimes it’s once or twice an hour sometimes it is three times in a minute.
I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the app!!
What is going on?! 😞

Still happens on ionic in July 2021. Super super annoying. It’s one thing to know the wrist heart rate isn’t fully accurate ( had a heart attack so I know) , but then when the other features that make it a smart watch don’t work…. With all the cheap alternatives now and Apple competitively priced it’s baffling this isn’t a priority to fix.
