Can't use Fitbit Bingo - update required?

I have just started a 90 day Fitbit premium trial and would like to get Fit Bingo. However, using the app on my phone, when I click on the "Get Fit Bingo" under Premium Challenges it says "sorry, you must update the Fitbit app to access this challenge. Update your app and try again".  But I'm sure I have the latest version and there appear to be no updates available for the app, or none that I can see or access.

 

I'm using Android on a Samsung Galaxy J2 phone. I also have the Fitbit app on my computer - windows 10, but there is no option to play bingo on this that I can see.

 

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling apps on both my computer and phone to make sure I have the latest version.  Have logged in and logged out, re-synced, turned everything off and on again, blah blah blah ad nauseum but nothing seems to work.

 

Has anyone else had this problem? I have friends that seem to use it fine - is it a hardware issue in that my phone is a bit cheap and crappy perhaps?!

 

*Sigh*, nothing ever seems to be straightforward when it comes to Fitbit! Would love it if somebody could help.

Oh and it's a FitBit Charge 2.

Is your phone on the supported List?

 

If not that probably why

Which version is your Fitbit App?

My Android is on the supported list and I get the must update app message for bingo. Frustrating

Do you have the latest android Fitbit app? 

If so, have you deleted and readded the Fitbit app.

My mom also has a Charge 2. She tried to accept the Bingo Challenge and it gives her the same message about needing to update. We are puzzled since both Fitbit and app are updated. Did you ever get an answer?

Looks like her phone didn't make the cut on the compatible phone list. Bummer!
